  • @Metalhead89 Janggi is different from Xiangqi - for instance, there is no river and the "canon" must leap to move. It's similar to Xiangqi, sure, and Xiangqi is its source, no doubt - but the Shakespeare analogy holds, because neither was "Hamlet" original to Shakespeare, but drawn from foreign sources.
