When I was new to the hobby, it was 90% Athearn, locos and rolling stock. How things have changed. Why no Athearn, Al. They have the Genesis line now.

Have you seen the Faller Car System? Check it out. I can imagine you'd really get a kick out of it.

At night the place looks incredible, looks like you are shooting a full scale scene from the rooftops! You should try an experiment with a smoke machine for the daytime shots - create a mist which will give the scene a sense of ariel perspective. Great work though, bet it is great to come back to after a shitty day.

I fail to understand why so many model railroaders today are putting graffiti on their models. I think it looks horrible.

@quimbyt Because it's realistic. In real life, there is tons of graffiti.

@TheRichRobloxian That doesn`t make it right. We as a society need to adopt a no tolerance policy to graffiti and get rid of it. Where I live at there is no graffiti except on the trains that pass through. And I wouldn`t allow it on property I owned. At least the New York transit system eliminated it from their subway trains. And the trains look so much better. I personally will not take pictures of railroad cars that have that trash (graffiti) on them.

Hey Al. Here's a trick for real sound effects. You can get cheap MP3 players for about $5 and the electronics stores sell a mini amplifier for about the same. Get a headphone jack, a bit of wire and a speaker. Wire the headphone jack to the mini amp, then out to the speaker somewhere in the area you want it.

You now record the sounds of the real outdoors on the MP3 player, then bring it inside and plug it in. Real sound effects!
