.... im confused... i am a huge snowboard enthusiest.. but.... even understand the effort involved in building as dry slope.. although u should try long boarding or a flow board... but what really gets me, even more than the weird dead hand thing.. why if it is summer and i see palm trees, are you wearing a ski hat and sweats lol....

No that is not a palm tree, it is mountain flax at the top of the slope. We are at the foot of Mt Ruapehu at 3000 feet, and though the sun is shining, this was filmed in winter between snowfalls. All of this cost nothing. The slope material we used is an old length of security netting, the diamond-weave wire stuff, that Rodady and I scavenged from the local dump. The local contractor welded up the rail for free.

Wire mesh fencing. It doesn't scratch the board as much as when I rode on some gravel! I fixed the scratches with a hot iron. This is an old board.
