Does Craig write the beautiful piano parts that appear in alot of their songs like Lexington or The Word Best Friend is Redefined? Does he write any of the crazy guitar sweeps/solos in alot of their songs? Did he ever once get on the drums and play a sexy beat that was later added into one of their songs?

Craig Owens and Matt Goddard are what got me into Chiodos, love their sound but I'm pretty sure that Craig's side projects aren't the only reason he got kicked out. He battles bi-polar disorder and that coupled with his drug addiction I'm sure became a serious obstacle for his bandmates. Either way, as a fan of both Chiodos and DRUGS, I feel like I lucked out because I now have 2 bands to like. Kinda like when the lead singer of Circa left Saosin, ya know?

Well you also have to remember that while D.R.U.G.S. is a new band, all of their players have been in other really well known bands. Craig was in Chiodos, Aaron was in Matchbook Romance, Nick was in Underminded, Matt was in From First to Last, and Adam was in Story of the Year. All of these are pretty well known bands.

While I agree that Craig made Chiodos what they are, this was the best decision of their lives. Craig just DOESN'T fit with the band's music anymore. Craig is more of a pop punk kind of voice. Cinematic Sunrise was more of Craig's speed, not the shit Chiodos has been writing.

Once you kick out the vocalist, gotta change the band name. The voice and lyrical artist gets kicked out, the name goes with him. Easy to replace an instrumentalist, but vocalists are too unique.

I listened to the new chiodos cd n uh......they suck now. I jus dnt get the same effect I did when listening to Craig Owens sing. I think they made a mistake on their part by letting him go but without tht happening we wouldnt have D.R.U.G.S. So I'm happy haha. But sry chiodos sucks now

While I agree that Craig made Chiodos what they are, this was the best decision of their lives. Craig just DOESN'T fit with the band's music anymore. Craig is more of a pop punk kind of voice. Cinematic Sunrise was more of Craig's speed, not the shit Chiodos has been writing.

Destroy rebuild until god shows, to be honest. I'm liking everything they have released more than anything chiodos is doing now that Craig is gone. I've even gone and pre-ordered their album with the T-shirt and poster. I made sure to do it on day one too.

Lets straiten this out. Craig is not Chiodos. Craig is not d.r.u.g,s. Craig is Craig. He was the founder of Chiodos and Cinematic sunrise. He was part in such super groups as of isles and glaciers and the sound of animals fighting. Craig is now the singer of destroy rebuild until god shows aka d.r.u.g.s. I think that if you were forced to live your music career in the shadow and under the control of a complete egotistical piece of shit, you would understand that its easy for one person, let alone 4 of the 5 members of the band to kick the asshole out. Bands like Motley Crue are the only ones who can really get away with being pieces of shit and it be awesome, but in Craig Owens case it seems that karma got the best of him.

Craig Owens had a one of a kind voice. The new singer for Chiodos is different but I think they can still go places with what they have. The lead singer doens't make up the whole band. But they do make a huge part of it, but so does every person in the band. Everyone just has to give them a chance if you don't like the new vocals...just listen to their old stuff or move on.

Honestly, I think Chiodos is better without Craig, I love Brandons voice. Everybody has their opinions though. Craig had a drug problem and fought with everybody in the band. Nobody would have cared if anybody else got kicked out... The vocals are very important, but the instruments are too. Craig isn't Chiodos. Everybody in Chiodos is Chiodos. >___>;
