  • good job dude you're amazing at the guitard and the voice wase verry good to, if it possible to have the tab because i try to find it and no one wase good hase the one you give on this video thanks i really anjoye it

  • Ha I used to do the exact same thing when it got to the falsetto. good job dude. Nice taste in music by the way

  • amazing!! love your voice

  • not bad at all...great job!

  • The chords to this are pretty straightforward but I'm really not sure about how to progress the finger picking technique - I know I should get it nailed slowly and then build up speed as I get more used to it but I can't get a rythym to build on - could someone please summarise the right hand string fingering say for the first chord (and don't be afraid of the falsetto - it's one of the most beautiful parts of Sufjan's song ;)

  • this song makes me afraid and crying

  • music that makes cry is good music. enjoy it instead of being afraid :)

  • This is a lovely piece, although I do believe your voice still needs some work but it has great potential.

  • this is amazing! your voice is very nice! can you do a lesson please?

  • very good... :)

  • better than I could ever hope to do. Difficult to sing at all, let at all while fingerpicking. Nicely done

  • very nice job.

can you give me the tabs?

  • Incredible job my friend. Any chance you can do a how to play lesson for this. Thank for sharing the best cover of this song on the net.

  • i like that you dropped the "oh my god" line an octave. it sounds good like that.

  • dude!!! you sound JUST like sufjan

  • this one is the best!

I'm jealous you got to see him in concert! I want to soo badly! :)

  • haha this is great!

you sound like him in a way.

  • nice job! sufjan would be proud.

  • this song kind of gives me the creeps, but you made it worth listening to..great job :)

  • "it was going alright until 1:10 ... thanks for ruining a masterpiece."

I'd much rather hear someone drop the octave than mess it up in the right register. Give him a break, it's a good cover.

  • lol you're retarded.

stfu nobody "ruins" a song by covering it. that's just physically impossible.

and this guy did a sick job, it's a hard song to finger pick consistently and sing at the same time, and he did both VERY well

  • that is exactlly how someone "ruins" a song...IS by covering it. you can't ruin it by NOT playing it.

the finger picking...yes...the vocals...no. mediocre at best. it's like trying to cover a jeff buckley song...pointless to even try.

  • YEP! The best cover of JWG,Jr. seen on You Tube

    Congratulations

  • OMG WOW

  • wow you did an excellent job with this. best cover i've ever heard of this song. you voice sounds exactly like sufjan stevens. the only thing is that you're playing just a little to fast. you should definitely do another version of this song and slow the guitar down. it would be perfect man.

  • sosososo good.

  • well done,

  • wow you sound excatly like him. amazing

  • Well done, man. I just saw him live recently, and it was absolutely amazing.

Are you planning on doing any more covers of Sufjan?

  • The only new one I've learned is "All The Trees..." I'll probably play that one next time I visit the friend who tapes me, so, yes. There's always a chance I'll get my act together and play "Dress Looks Nice" decently; I'm not very good at it right now.

  • AHHHHHHHH can't wait!

  • dude.. you're voice is so remeniciance... i have no idea how to spell... of Sufjan. its tight =D

  • ur really good at this song i can barely tell the diff. from you and him besides the voice at some parts good guitar i applaud=D

  • Not bad man. I'm learning this song myself. You're capturing Sufjan's voice in this song pretty well, just try not to rush the vocals so much. Also, on the last strum of the F chord's bass note, the first fret is removed and the note is played open. Some other chord changes are preceded by the same kind of pull-off. All in all a good job. It's sure a tricky song to try to sing and play at the same time :).

  • Thanks! It's not too hard to play, but yeah, singing and playing together is a bit too much for me. I only play this one when friends demand it of me. Sufjan has such a strong high range that it's nearly impossible for me to sing his songs well -- especially this one. I'll try to figure out those pull-offs. Thanks again!
