Can you help me, I just downloaded the newest version of the Free SDK and when I start to launch the 32 bit editor it crash on loading, I don't know why, but the logs tell me stuff such as:

@TIACproductions you have to put it in the crisis 2 folder that's why you get the error try putting it there. if it still has the error delete it re download ,reinstall it an try again should work

Hey, when I downloaded it and extracted it to a document It came up that the 32Bit Launcher, Editor and Log In had a virus and was immediately quarantined. Because of this I cannot start it as my PC is only 32Bit. Is there any help that you or anybody else could give me please? Thank you!

@MeTaLdUdE02 If you have an eMachines laptop and don't know how to check your graphics card, you most likely should stay away from CryEngine until you have a serious gaming rig :\

But, if you really want to check, go to your run function in windows and type in dxdiag. Go to the display tab and post the device name.

I found another DirectX download on the internet and this one was free and it seemed to fix the error problems (Finally!) but now the program is taking so long to start that another window pops up saying "the sandbox (TM) is not responding" I have two choices to either close the program, or wait for it to respond. If theres any trick or anything else that will help. I'm open to any sugestions at this point lol. Anyways thanks so much again, you've been so helpfull.

@NigerianProductions hmm, this doesn't seem right. DON'T DOWNLOAD it. Try downloading the latest driver for your graphics card, after that you should have the latest DirectX. Message me back when it is done.

I boot camped my mac cp and I'm now running on windows 7 so do i open the 32bin folder or the 64? and also i keep getting this error message when trying to start up the editor in bin 32 "Error loading DLL: cryRednderD3D9.dll, error code138" after that a error code 183 pops up and then; error running jira crash handler: bug submission failed" finally it either says it stoped working or crashes. Any helpful tips or explinations to get this up and running would be great! Thanks in advance -Alex

@MegaMerda2 OK. hmm You should try to reextract the cryengine sdk. Download another version of the Cryengine from Indie db. That might help.

Oh that error you get at 4:00 can be fixed by changing the value of the registry entry. I think it's 1 and you have to change it to 0, or maybe the other way around. But it's the same error as was in the Crysis 2 modSDK

Look forward to seeing some more vids. CE3 does look very impressive. As for licensing, Crytek stated that there is licensing for indie devs, but so far exact licensing terms seem to be unknown. The only definitive thing I've seen is that CryTek demands 20% royalty from all revenue, starting at cent one. Not too bad, IMO, but UE3's royalty option is 25% on all profits after $50k. Just something to think about if deciding on engines to build your indie title.
