Nice FH... That is Red Kamalau... A female Kamalau... How to identify it is a female.. There is a black marking on the top fin... Only Male FH have Big Hump female does have hump but not as big as the male does...

@CCichlids either 2 20-40 gallon filters from walmart each is about $20. or! get the 55 gal filter from walmart for $36. that will be enough

dont know if it was already answered, but do you use the aquaclear biological filters? They are great, i have two 75 gallon rated pumps on my 80 gallon tank and the water is always clean and HD like. Easy filter and carbon change too.

how do u clean the water with sand

if you have cat fish they should stir up your sand when moving so it will get cleaned that way or get like a large mixing spoon-wood or plastic and gentally move the sand

a flowerhorn like this will cost you a good amount of money. probably around $100 where i'm from. you can get flowerhorns dirt cheap like $5, they just won't be as pretty as this one.

Don't do it! We have an 8" flower horn that we're selling, because he ate all his tank mates, which were convicts, and convict / jack dempsey hybrids. They need to be alone!

Red devil don't do good with flowerhorn my red devil attacked the shit out the flowerhorn sure jack dempsy and red devil will do maybe a texas chiclid would be good for your tank.

kamfa fh's reign supreme when it comes to fh's. they're prettier and have much more personality than the trimac or trimac hybrids. i find trimacs to be very ugly.

wow, an actually nice flowerhorn on youtube, and has a nice double line too!!! looks a lot like my blue shinto i exhibit when it it was a juvenile. that thing will look awesome once the kok develops.

one good tip for the owner... if you just wanted to have a good nuchal hump to your flower horn then you might increase your pH upto 7.6 - 7.8 that increases the nuchal hump while the colors is pH 6.5 - 6.8 if that is a male well then youre advisable to buffer your pH. having a superb redness of the eye and true body colouration is good even without nuchal humps. but nuchal hump is the centre of attraction and its advisable to have a big nuchal hump for your FH. visit our website for more info.
