@MaizyChunk667 it actually depends on the fabric, but this works best with a knit type fabric. Just try to pull the strands one by one at first. That's how I started mine before I could finally distress the fabric.
@Devilsinspiration lol Exactly! What difference does it really make? a HOLE is a HOLE...a TEAR is a TEAR...Rip, destroy....if you find it art ok, whatever to each their own but how many words do we have to change the meaning of in this world anymore..lol.
If you want to destroy my sweater!!!Watch me unravel I'll soon be naked!!! Lying on the floor Lying on the floor!!! I've come undone!! LOVE WEEZER! lol
@tweetiej13 It really depends on the material of the shirt. It will probably increase the give slightly so it fits more loosely....If you were to do the entire back...if you shred the whole back, make sure not to throw it in the dryer because it will ruin all of your hard work!
@gennygadildoe Not sure where you live in Cali, but I was in San Fran a few weeks ago and it was in the mid 70s!!!! When I came home a few days later it was snowing....Talk about a temperature shock!
@emily16taylor Me too! The finished results look very similar! I wish it was this easy to distress jeans - I finally finished the pair I was working on in that tutorial, I probably put 8 hours into them. I want to distress this new pair of True Religion jeans I bought at Nordstrom Rack the other day but I don't have the patience recently!
@kiiimeluv Hopefully it will continue to distress as I wash it - that's kind of the point. I will not even bother handwashing it because the results will be more desirable if some of the holes adjoin.
It reminds me of the song by weezer where he says "If you want to destroy my sweateeeeer!" Hah. But Im so excited caue I just bought a couple sweaters! Thaaank you! <3
This is one great way of letting out frustration and stress! Love the tutorial!

So if I do this down the back of a t-shirt... will it make the t-shirt fit more loosely?
