  • This is one great way of letting out frustration and stress! Love the tutorial!

  • I dont understanddddd Im pulling as hard as I can on m sweater but nothing is happening its still just a hole! :(

  • @MaizyChunk667 it actually depends on the fabric, but this works best with a knit type fabric. Just try to pull the strands one by one at first. That's how I started mine before I could finally distress the fabric.

  • I checked my phone @ 00:40

  • love the weezer reference(:

  • ooh, Weezer reference?

  • Shitty up ur sweater, add fake blood, paint some spots brown-ish...

Got yourself a zombie sweater! Lol

  • 18 bucks for a shitty sweater ! yikes but i love it !

  • is it applicable for a tee?

  • @dangi03 or is it for only a specific kid of material?

  • Can you do this with hoodies? :O

  • Actually,this is DEconstruction,rather than REconstruction.It's a popular thing in Japan,tearing up your own stuff. :P

  • @Devilsinspiration lol Exactly! What difference does it really make? a HOLE is a HOLE...a TEAR is a TEAR...Rip, destroy....if you find it art ok, whatever to each their own but how many words do we have to change the meaning of in this world anymore..lol.

  • If you want to destroy my sweater!!!Watch me unravel I'll soon be naked!!! Lying on the floor Lying on the floor!!! I've come undone!! LOVE WEEZER! lol

  • If u want to destroy my sweater.. Hold this thread as I walk away..first thing I thought haha

  • lol

  • So if I do this down the back of a t-shirt... will it make the t-shirt fit more loosely?

  • @tweetiej13 It really depends on the material of the shirt. It will probably increase the give slightly so it fits more loosely....If you were to do the entire back...if you shred the whole back, make sure not to throw it in the dryer because it will ruin all of your hard work!

  • @itsblitzzz Ok thanks! I actually ended up doing the Kristina DeBarge look to only the back of the shirt and I love it!

  • @itsblitzzz I live in the San Fernando valley :)

It was hot just like a week ago and now it's really cold and windy

  • It's still cold in California :/

  • @gennygadildoe Not sure where you live in Cali, but I was in San Fran a few weeks ago and it was in the mid 70s!!!! When I came home a few days later it was snowing....Talk about a temperature shock!

  • lol im already walking around with shorts tank tops and flip flops here in texas :D

  • @via321ful Lucky!

  • Im going to the store today to buy some fabric to sew on behind the distressed areas for whenever i make this hah(:

  • @alinacryystal Send me a picture when you finish! Really cute idea!

  • @itsblitzzz I definitely will.! Just gotta get some tools haa(:

  • @alinacryystal Girl make your facebook less private for 5 mins so I can friend you

  • @itsblitzzz haha ok its not at all private now

  • This reminds me kind of, as the same technique as the jean distressing.

  • @emily16taylor Me too! The finished results look very similar! I wish it was this easy to distress jeans - I finally finished the pair I was working on in that tutorial, I probably put 8 hours into them. I want to distress this new pair of True Religion jeans I bought at Nordstrom Rack the other day but I don't have the patience recently!

  • @itsblitzzz That is SO long! I wouldn't have the patience either!

  • as a knitwear student what you just did was so distressing lol. hopefully it wont keep creating ladders as it washes..

*oh and its yarn not thread.

  • @kiiimeluv Hopefully it will continue to distress as I wash it - that's kind of the point. I will not even bother handwashing it because the results will be more desirable if some of the holes adjoin.

  • winter's only starting for me! ):

  • I'm gonna start calling Ghingers gingers like you just cuz it sounds cuter :)

  • your bone structure is fantastic! and i love your recons. thanks xx

  • ahahha I died when I saw the description. x)

  • Great tutorial!

We're getting a Forever 21 where I live and I'm so excited to go there and get a bunch of cheap t-shirts to reconstruct.

  • It reminds me of the song by weezer where he says "If you want to destroy my sweateeeeer!" Hah. But Im so excited caue I just bought a couple sweaters! Thaaank you! <3

  • @ilovepurplemonkeys12 Haha I know that's why I put that lyric in the description box! Weezer throwback! XO
