Lancaster isn't all that great. I mean yes it is a great place to live. Awesome hang out spots and sight seeing. But it's to sheltered it's almost like nothing happens around here but first friday and the occasional convention or carnival. It's soo boring sometimes. Ever since I was little I always wanted to ditch this place. It's really good for raising kids I'lkl give it that but as long as you live here. Your living in a bubble from the rest of the world. To me that's not agood thing.

Lived in Lancaster basically all my life. Driven by Dutch Haven, Miller's Smorgasboard, Jakey's, The Amish Village thing etc, probably more than 300 times, never once been to any of them (aside from Miller's, a long time ago). All tourist traps. If you know anything about the PA Dutch, Amish or Mennonite, you'd know they're not even Dutch, they're of German ancestry. That whole area is just miserable in the spring and summer, too many out of towners.

It's not Lanc-ister. It would be more like Lanka-ster or even Lankuh-ster. Short and quick "a" sound. I think the more common way to pronounce Lancaster, virtually anywhere else is in the world, whether it's Lancaster, CA, Lancaster, Lancashire, UK or the Avro Lancaster bomber is Lan-CAS-ter.
