asalamu alaykum, i was there that year and theres a chance it was my fault. i was in Medina a couple day befroe that and i saw a picture of the kaba about 60 years ago when it was flooded half way up. silly me im like "hey would it be funny if that happened again!"

I was in Mina in our tent during that rain. I agree that lucky are those souls that left this world during that rain. I remember that those Hajis who left their tents early in the afternoon for stoning the shaitan were stuck near the Jamraat for many hours and the situation in the Jamraat was chaoatic. Those who chose to remain in their tents has mostly no problems.
