This is not an easy piece to play but an excellent one to exhibit one's technical skill. She still needs some work but this sounds very promising. Of course I always compare everyone to the very best there is and pretty much everyone comes up short. I will watch for her in the future.

the first part (not including the fast arpeggiated e string part, but the real beginning part) is way too fast, anyone can play play into the high positions, it takes true talent to play the quarter=60 tempo on the g string and make a good sound. this is not too from the book, it shows no gypsy influence. and she basically scratches through the fast part... she is good, but she should stick to bach, because music comes from the heart, not the books...

i know i sound like a asshole saying this, but i have to say, her interpretation sucks. its a show-off piece, anyone can see that. she isn't that show-offy in her playing. i mean, i sounded like her when i was sightreading the piece. but then again, i have been playing longer. so there. vibrato a little too fast.

but her expression will come more with experience... as well as a more relaxed vibrato...

if the vibrato is too tight, it gives tense feelings... loosen up... go slower... you can be an amazing violinist one day...i wont doubt that in the slightest... keep it up...

I know this piece is dificult as it is on grade 8 in the UK. I recently learned it for a challange and my version is no where near as good as this.

I play the viola my self for nearly 10 years now, and i know i am right when i say that she have the feeling and personality in the music, and wtf if she play a bit out of tuning sometimes. She stands before alot of people there totalt alone. Take yourself together an get in the clasical music.

Very Talented! But, needs more musicality and phrasing. The lyrical passages were too stiff and Suzuki style. The opening cadenza needs to be re-written in a more authentic style. It sounded like a straight orchestral player trying to be gypsy. It just sounded hoaky, if you know the real way to do it. Do a gypsy violin search and learn the real way.(Sandor Lakatos)

She is great. I would suggest she go to a famous conservatory such as Cincinatti to be evaluated, rather than asking for advice on YouTube. Or closer to home, try to contact some of the members of the Oslo String Quartet for advice. Keep in mind that I am no expert, I am just an 'adult violin learner.' I would argue against the "no feeling" comment. There were quite a few moments where the tempo was NOT kept, and she slowed down and sped up, and stood up on her tip toes to sway on high notes, etc...

Take a look again ;), I think there is certainly feeling, even if you don't see it in her facial expressions.
