  • that was downright interesting, but i have a question, on the parts that go from the pedals to the wheel, it looked like they were joined together instead of solid pieces, like arms or legs with the wooden "elbows" in them, if you dont mind me asking, what was that for?

  • Awesome!! I bet einstein could'nt build this with all his brain power

  • whoever disliked this is just jealous they dont have one great work!

  • THIS is art. and useful.

  • Very very fantastic!!!!

  • I wanted to see this actually cutting some piece of wood instead of only making noise.

  • Very, very, very interesting! Perfect! Congratulations! Your videos are GREAT!

Del - I wish you all the best!

  • wow I am very impressed. It's BEAUTIFUL!

  • Cool, but does he turn down his hearing aid when he runs that loud baby?

  • Holy crap! That's amazing! What I wouldn't give to just have the opportunity to follow this guy and observe his shop work for a month.

  • Hey senta, thank you for what u made fir me in your shop.

  • Del... your a genius!

  • Why is there even 1 DOWNVOTE?!?

  • Simply Brilliant but not simple !

  • now i can cut things and keep fit in same time ^ ^

  • Dude, I want a Del

  • Awsome

  • I much admire the beautiful finish of this piece. Excellent projetct - and I just love those braces!

  • anyone know how the rotary motion was converted to linear, up-and-down motion in this machine?

  • @teddydevil3 Probably used a crank shaft like the pedals use.

  • @teddydevil3

It's not visible, so I'm just guessing he has a short crank on the final shaft. At 1:10 it looks like the push-pull rod has no lateral displacement, so the mech may be a slotted yoke or it may have a connecting rod and a cross-head guide.

  • WOW! I have always wanted to build a treadle powered scroll saw and have purchased the plans for one, BUT this machine here is wonderful! I love your design! Did you draw up plans? And are they available anywhere? You are amazing! Thanks for sharing this video!!

  • god bless you .thankyu god for american people .

  • If he can do this with wood, imagine what he could do if he decided to use steel. He could make much better stuff.

  • is that stone cold steve santa clause?

  • oo wee!!!!!! I fell in love with this vid soon as i clicked it

  • When the zombie apocalypse comes and our society falls, I'm going to hang out with this guy. Just keep him supplied with wood and other random materials and he'll single-handedly rebuild civilization. Out of wood.

  • i wish there were more people like him.

  • where can I get one?

  • black friday on ebay

  • that is fucking awesome.

  • i love seeing people like this dude, so sick of modern bullshit...computers, politics, celebrities and all that bs...enjoy people who love building things old school, that live out in who knows where in the middle of ohio. :D

  • @ilivedevili Someone I can relate to. I repair computers, printers and plotters and I still hate the things but I make a living at it. Woodworking and other hand crafts are my actual desire but of course you need a market to make a living at it. Too many things are made cheap by the Chinese and made to fail and throw away. This, though he says it's not practical, is definitely a work of art and useful at the same time.

  • @ilivedevili

You only were able to see this video because of computers. I like computers.

  • @ilivedevili your so true

  • @ilivedevili So you're 'Sick of modern bullshit like computers' yet you're using one to post a comment on an internet video?!?!!?!

  • @radeonxpcz i dont think that ilivedevili is anti modern tech, i think he or she means it seems like there is too much of it in a way that we cant seem to live without it, and we are getting further and further from oldfashioned things, i tend to think we need a mix of both, enjoy one but dont forget the other

  • A wooden machine that cuts wood XD

  • its a sewing machine

  • actually its a saw. you use it to cut wood

  • omg its Santa :O

  • whered the vid go i wanna see this thing GRRRRRRR please get video back
