That said, I've never made the claim that I'm an expert, I was simply commenting on the fact that my opinion isn't nearly as unbiased as it should be when it comes to bolt action rifles. Also, I've been studying WWII weaponry for years now, so I do actually know quite a bit more about them than the average person. I just tend to prefer Mosins, because they're simple to maintain and extremely reliable.

The Enfield had a larger magazine, less recoil, and could be fired a tiny bit faster by a highly experienced infantryman (not appreciably faster mind you, but any increase in speed is an advantage in war). Also, the Mosin Nagant is better than both of them. So there's that...
@IAwzm .22's are great pistols. I have a Browning Buckmark which is a good quality company and its a decent price. Another popular (probably most popular) .22 pistol is the Ruger Mk. III. I only own one revolver which is not a .22..I'm not big into them.
@IAwzm The K98 and the Enfield are close ties so it comes down to preference. If you prefer 5 rounds less but slightly better accuracy rather than 5 more rounds and slightly lesser accuracy then K98 is your pick. They are both great rifles.

@roadrocket at 1:37 you say that Bren is a Mk.1. I think that it is a Mk.2 though I'm not sure. If it was made in 1942 it should have been the simplified wartime variant i.e. the Mk.2. Also, doesn't the Mk.1 have an additional grip under the stock?

today the standard rifle is the a2 variant, which is much hardier, more accurate and more reliable. A team from the British Army put 60,000 rounds through an l85a2 without a single stoppage that required an armourer to fix. The a2 has been in service since about 2002, although it didn't fully replace the a1 until about 2005. Jamaica has bought about 35,000 a1 rifles from the UK for its defence forces
Why all the guns designed by brits are so retarded? I mean, the magazine on top of the weapon like Bren does not help you aim better as well as Stens clip is nothing but a retardation and minus to ergonomy. L85 series is the most unreliable set of contraptions, heavy as hell too. Why wont the brits give up XD. Buy some AKs instead
@kamalatharat You really do not know what u are talking about. The Bren gun is a brilliant design that allows fast reloading and provides 30 rounds per mag. Its much faster to use and reload than the BAR... and I would know as I have fired BAR's. Its easy to put the mag in when prone since it is ontop, not to mention it allows the operator to get low to the ground. As for the L85, since being redesigned by H&K and given a rail mount system by daniel defense it is an A class weapon.
I'll be short this time. Brens magazine limits your view, gets you killed for that. Even H&K couldn't fix the flaws of L85, it is still unrealiable and therefore useless. You can get some rails to AKs too. What comes to iron sights, they work in any conditions. They do not cloud in cold weather and do not break, flash and reveal you to enemies like the optical sights. Only thing that limits you from hitting targets wiht iron sights further that 100m is your bad eyes.

@MysteryoftheGods Actually it is how you hold the sten. The magazine would heat up and burn your hand so holding it by the magazine is a dumb idea. If you served with one of these during the war and held the gun by the magazine you would be court marshelled for incorrect handling of weapons!

@tankcommander94 thats a lot of lies. the magazine does not heat up on any STEN, BREN, Enfield, or any other British gun or any gun that I'm aware of. However, holding the STEN by the magazine will cause it to misfeed and jam.

today the standard rifle is the a2 variant, which is much hardier, more accurate and more reliable. A team from the British Army put 60,000 rounds through an l85a2 without a single stoppage that required an armourer to fix. The a2 has been in service since about 2002, although it didn't fully replace the a1 until about 2005. Jamaica has bought about 35,000 a1 rifles from the UK for its defence forces

I mean, the magazine on top of the weapon like Bren does not help you aim better as well as Stens clip is nothing but a retardation and minus to ergonomy. L85 series is the most unreliable set of contraptions, heavy as hell too. Why wont the brits give up XD. Buy some AKs instead

@kamalatharat You really do not know what u are talking about. The Bren gun is a brilliant design that allows fast reloading and provides 30 rounds per mag. Its much faster to use and reload than the BAR... and I would know as I have fired BAR's. Its easy to put the mag in when prone since it is ontop, not to mention it allows the operator to get low to the ground. As for the L85, since being redesigned by H&K and given a rail mount system by daniel defense it is an A class weapon.

I'll be short this time. Brens magazine limits your view, gets you killed for that. Even H&K couldn't fix the flaws of L85, it is still unrealiable and therefore useless. You can get some rails to AKs too. What comes to iron sights, they work in any conditions. They do not cloud in cold weather and do not break, flash and reveal you to enemies like the optical sights. Only thing that limits you from hitting targets wiht iron sights further that 100m is your bad eyes.
