He's much better than Evan, I find him the most unwanted character, no wonder he wasn't in the comics. Currently Iceman is acting like Spyke's replacement, I think he should have been in the main team from the starting only like the live-action films.

He's an X-men villain who could hypnotize you and mindcontrol you, giving him full control over all your abilities and shutting down your free will completely, as long as he wants. If you're a mutant, this means he has direct control over your powers too, though he doesn't always use them as creatively as the original owner. He can mindcontrol several people at a time, making him one of the most dangerous human villains in the comics, so far.

The limits of his power haven't been confirmed as of yet.
