I think domina town theme and nostalgic song are great examples of traditional RPG theme, and moonlight city are great since it's so different than the traditional (and even modern times RPG), diddle's organ is great because it's on accordion ^^ and maker's gallop is something that would stuck in your head for years. I hope you're adding lots to your list, because this Mana has the best VGM!

I only played the game once (rented it) but I clipped all the art I could find out of magazines. I LOVED the style. Shinichi Kameoka has since become one of my favorite illustrators and influenced my own art career quite a bit. You're right, supawaffle, a games art direction is SO much more important than a powerful graphics engine.

This is one of the most under-rated games ever. Brilliant story , an almost insane level of customization and the replay value.

Hell , it took me 3 complete playthroughs to get an 800 damage dior sword (damn ash was tough to get). Now I'm replaying it for the ultimate equipment ....again (diorwood sword, adamantite armor and helm)

yea it's a great game, and it's very long..i haven't finished it either, but it's cool cause you can have co op on there too. the battle system is a bit different and unique, but it's worth a try if you get your hands on the game.

@darkmidna you'll either love it or hate it - the battles are really annoying, it's almost not even 2D, as you really have to shuffle to move up or down the screen, the experience spills out of enemies and you actually have to go pick it up, and the inventory and weapons system is fucked
