There is no flash, it's just ur screen, so just turn the screen brightness down.

Hold down SHIFT while clicking the take picture button on Photo Booth takes the picture without the screen flash, hope this is what you meant.

@bengaliblaze yes you can actually, on photobooth. hold down shift, and while still holding it press the take a photo button. if you want to take the countdown timer off, press option whilst pressing the button. you can also do both at the same time if you want.
