  • Would have been great if you had put the 2nd part of this on.. you should probably delete this as its almost useless without the second part..

  • Good idea. We all need help when we get started. I would love to see it. THanks.

  • what happened to part 2?

  • Part 2 got recorded ( I believe) but never posted due to size constraints if I recall correctly. Editing didn't happen and hmmm I ought to go dig it out huh? That or something happened that was not good in the recording process. 3 years ago. Wow.

  • I have a chunky knitter and a chunky ribber and was watching how you set it up but was looking for part two.i really want to learn how to get started but need help. i have both instruction books but have no clue how to set it up. could you help me thanks.......

  • Which knitting machines do you like to work with most?

  • I prefer working with Silver Reed / Singer machines. I love all differently gauged machines. My present favorite is the Silver Reed SK860 (160 upgraded with ribber and electronic carriage). It is enormously flexible.

  • I am thinking about purchasing one of these Singer Chunky knitters but It doesn't come with a manual. Can you tell me how old yours is?

  • This machine is over 20 years old. It has been (as you heard in the video) very well stored and had been barely used. It is one of my FAVORITE machines even if it is in storage. I elected to keep my Bond with me as a Bulky for the time being.

  • Tracy,

I DID sell this machine! TO MYSELF! ha ha ha ... I love it. These machines are pretty readily available though and you can absolutely find them around. Check the Ravelry For Sale Listings. I have another bulky but its not for sale at the moment because it needs a little work and due to relocation its not with me. Soon though.

  • I wouldn't get rid of your Knit Smart though. I love the flexibility of the plastic bed machines. Remember you only get 110 needles on a bulky.

  • Did you sell this machine? I'm learning my standard gauge ribber now, and don't think I can go back to my KnitSmart (Bond clone) for the bulky yarns!
