I wish I could actually find the "The president and I agree on most issues. There was recently a study that showed that I voted with the president over 90 percent of the time," thing without just the snippet... You know, in context. *sigh*
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
HAHAHA can we see the rest of these interviews? What question do you think he was responding to when he made those statements?
The interviewers were questioning his loyalty to the party in 2005 when he voted 78% along party lines. 78% may still sound high, unless you have a clue how the system works. Over 50% of the issues that are voted upon have a unanimous or close to unanimous vote. McCain sided with Bush LESS than many democrats that year.
unfortunatley, McCain has changed his stance on many issues in order to appeal to stauch conservatives... he was against off shore drilling now he's for it, as just one example. I use to like McCain, but he's not the same guy who is running now and I definitely do not like Palin who is too extremist in her views and only a heart beat of a 72 year old - 4-5 times cancer patient. And I don't want another 4 years of the last 8.
This is a testimonial to the wrongheadedness of Americans. How bad does it have to get before you ask for change? Apparently this close race speaks poorly of the clarity of mind of about half of the population.
Any Hillary supporter who now supports McCain must not have actually cared about any of Hillary's policies, since McCain/Bush are opposed to just about everything Hillary stood for.
yes all ur lives r so horrible that you need immediate "change" to make ur own lives even more painfree,
so many people dont even care for the war and the ones that do shouldnt expect obama to just swoop in and pull out all the troops,
its too late, were already there and anything done to attempt to reverse this wrong would just make certain enemies attack at home once again, i dont like bush or mccain, but it doesnt mean im for obama, hes all talk with hardly any past deeds to back his claims
"hes all talk with hardly any past deeds to back his claims "
Not true. check out his legislative highlights and his proposals at his website. Also, there was an 8 page article reviewing Obama's economic strategy vs. McCains (more trickle down economics which have FAILED) at the Wall Street Journal called ""How Obama Reconciles Dueling Views on Economy." Also, check Washington Post for "McCain Obama Tax Proposals" for chart - see who is really trying to help the middle class, and majority.
"A Measure of Media Bias", a December 2004 study conducted by Tim Groseclose of the University of California, Los Angeles and Jeff Milyo of the University of Missouri, stated that:
" One surprise is the Wall Street Journal, which we find as the most liberal of all 20 news outlets [studied].
btw, Tater686 - there are liberal as well as conservative media bias to be sure, but that doesn't make either way wrong or less patriotic. It's just different perspectives & solutions of issues we face. Take a look at the articles and let's discuss the issues. If you feel the conservatives are offering better solutions this time around, I'd love to hear your reasoning on that. The WSJ article in particular points out why Reaganonmics worked initially & why it doesn't anymore.
It's insane how this has become about Obama, this SHOULD be about the failed policies of the last 8 years and how McSame wants to carry on with them for the next at least 4 years. Obama needs to turn this election around back to McCain = Bush and the issues. He has surrogates, use them! Please!
O.K., This clip demonstrates that McCain has willingly and repeatedly tied the giant millstone (Bush) around his neck. Now, would someone kindly show him to the electoral waters? In other words, Democrats, spare no expense in running this clip between now and November!
McCain is devoid of honor, integrity and intelligence. He has a certain low cunning and an inate ability to sense what a crowd wants to hear, and he'll say it, no matter what it may be.
No wonder he lost!

As far as I know there were three major disagreements between Bush and McCain:
Immigration
Tax cuts for the rich
Global warming
McCain has practically reversed his opinion on these issues.
Therefor he now agrees with Bush 100%.

Agreed. I didn't have a problem with McCain before he started running for Pres. Now he's almost unrecognizable from the person he was 2 years ago.

When he's speaking to die hard neo-cons McCain says he's all for Bush.
Okay, I wanna see if he appears with Bush at the GOP Convention & how many times he appears with Bush during the campaign.
You can't have it both ways...or at least shouldn't be allowed to.
