i  havee thiss phoneee ! ive had it since the end of summer ! its amazing ! i have a bit of a problem with dropping phones andd ive dropped this loads! ive dropped it in the swimming pool , i mistaken it as a dog toy :P , i droped it froom a mesaneen to a conkreet floor , then last night it fell out of my jaket and bumped down steap starirs bounced on a guitar then finaly fell right on to a conkreet floor ! then i droped it from my bed ... and it steel works and looks like new ! really fast :)

I've had this phone for a few months now, compared to my freinds iPhone 3GS, it has a better battery, better camera and smoother sound. (not dissing iPhones) happen to like em but prefer LG. Would recommend this phone to anyone.

This phone is NOT an upgrade to the Viewty. Its spec is much much lower.  Go for the LG Renoir if you're wanting a proper step up from the Viewty. Leodee has done an unboxing video for it so you can compare it that way. It has an 8MP camera to replace the Viewty's 5MP one, whereas the LG Crystal has a slide-out transparent numberpad and nothing.

I was wrong... LG Crystal has an 8MP camera, but apparently not that great, and the transparent keypad is a bit of a novelty and overly sensitive. I'm going to wait a while before upgrading my Viewty. The new Viewty Smart looks like it is the best touchscreen phone from LG so far, but still not perfect. I'm reluctant to upgrade until I'm convinced the interface and touchscreen is comparable to iPhone!

Mine is also lasting well after two years. I suspect the Crystal will be much the same. It's not like the Viewty is ancient technology that was built to last in comparison to the Crystal.

I don't know. I don't know whether the screen is glass or plastic for the Crystal or the Viewty Smart. If the screen is plastic it will need a protective cover. If it is glass, like the iPhone, then it will not need one as glass doesn't scratch unless you happen to be scraping it with a diamond.

id really recommend getting the LG Prada 2 if you were to get a foreign phone. It's extremely easy to use. you can download games for free, and it actually has a lot of really cool features. u gad it for t mobile and it worked GREAT !
