i cant believe they didnt continue this series. it came so close to the 90's x-men only a modern version. cancel the avengers and bring back this series. all x-men characters are unique and useful to the team. the avengers have one useless character that hornet girl what a waste of spot
Why are so many people concerned with Rogue being "sexy" all the time. . .? O_o So she was sassy and showed a lot of skin in the comcis and in the 90's cartoon, doesn't mean that's all she's about. Seriously, is that the only dynamic of her whole character: being easy on the eyes? Personally, I think it makes more sense for her to cover up more. . .I mean it would be nice to have a powerful female superhero who DOESN'T dress like a burlesque dancer. . .>_< Evo Rogue is definitely my favorite:-)
@Medevenx She showed a lot of skin more than a couple of times during the 90's cartoon. (Tank tops, short-shorts, and in one ep she was wearing a bikini). She can show skin if she wants to, doesn't mean she has to touch people, maybe she just wanted to let her skin breathe for a while.
I hated Rogue in the X-Men movies, they totally ruined her character by making her so weak and so vulnerable. Where is the sassy spunky Rogue? I even liked how they presented her in Evolution. I thought the whole goth stereotype thing worked for her.

in case any one who doesn't know where Jean is, this is where she is! Jean was lost in the explotion at the institute. Everyone, er, ALMOST everyone thought she was dead, but Scott and Emma found her in a hospital 2 hours from the institute.
Still you could have just let them find out for themselves... Think about it, you might have ruined a plot point for someone who has never seen this show before and is interested in it. All I'm saying is maybe think of those people and put a spoiler warning next time if your gonna post about facts that happen in later episodes... :)

X-men the animated series was infinitely better than Evolution.
Evolution was dreck, pure and total dribble. It dumbed down every character and every story so it would appeal to a young demographic, thereby bastardizing everything that made the characters great.

I hate how people forget that those abilities weren't hers to begin with and it was only a short time before they short-circuited. This series is during a dark time for the X-Men.

She was born Anna Marie. I think she's used the name Raven before because of her foster mother, Mystique (Raven Darkholme). Something like that.. I don't know. I can't remember. Something about Mystique. Google it.
I love how they gave them a classic update in terms of the costumes. I love cyclops new look but as for rouge...Eh...they could have made her look more...rouge-ish, you know? I mean..I know I'd get barked on for saying this, but I think they did a good job with rouges appearance in X-Men Evo better than this. Just a personal preference I suppose.

I actually prefer this version of Rogue better because she actually resembles the Rogue true to comics. Rogue no longer has the Ms. Marvel-esque, she's her own character now with her siphon powers and not Ms. Marvel's. I do however miss her flirtatious personality that was portrayed in the 90s animated series. The 90s series got me on the Rogue bandwagon, and I've been a fan ever since.

@jfachris I never said that she joined the brotherhood in the movies. However, as i previously stated, she did join them in 'Wolverine and the X-men', which is what I was responding to in terms of Rogue being incorrectly labeled as 'needy' in 'Wolverine and the X-Men'.
As for the movie Rogue was needy so much as she is a teenager who feels rejected and lonely.

@black777666lol To be honest, I liked Rogue in Evolution, and I liked how they gave her a troubled past and her feelings of hatred towards Mystique. That and they did a nice job in developing her sibling relationship with Nightcrawler. But I agree, I wish that they gave more development on her relationship with Gambit in Evolution, which is, to be honest, a pretty awesome show.
rogue was originally made to be hot... that's why im disappointed to see her like that in evolution and now this.... i enjoy the animation in this version but still, rogue isnt just rogue for no reason.... that's why people liked her, she's sexy but she aint no slut and she displayed a strong independent image of women... but this rogue... is very PLAIN and typical. but im gonna watch it anyway. wouldnt hurt... just an overwhelming sense of disappointment, but yeah, im watching it..
Well the truth is, all three animated series have played off of Rogue at diff times. I read some of my parents X-men comics from when I was a baby and she was very insecure, very shy, and kinda emo and with anger management problems. By the 90's, that is when we got the sassy and confident rogue that they portrayed in the 90's cartoon. Although the X-mens' time line is slower than ours, she has had over 20 years to develop ;)

Evolution was weak in my opinion. Put the X-Men in a teeny bopper setting and you get Evolution. Personally the show is alright, but I think WATXM does the series justice.
its a 1: 60 ratio. if she touches some1 for 1 sec, she has his/her mutant ability for 60 secs. if she touches him for 2 secs , she has her powers for 120secs , and so on. In the case of Ms Marvel, she held on for too long and retained permanently the latter's powers,i.e, invulnerability, superstrength ( lifting 50 tons) and flight. In certain incarnations , Rogue could use template recalls , i,e, call upon powers she had absobed in the past and use them.
good guess for the ratio pretty close call but they never actually had a real estimate on whats her power's ratio. because she can touch kitty and wolverine at the same time but without guessing rogue would get kitty's whole powers and most of her thoughts and would be able to hold on to her powers longer than she could with wolverines. its more of how powerful or how corrupt or joyous is someone, is what really determines how long. but if it were regular people then ya the ratio would be close.
in the case of extremely powerful beings such as Juggernaut or Mojo, they have proved to be resistant to Rogue's powers. Wolverine is not exactly a powerful mutant (though the most popular and a fan-favourite :) compared to Gamma-level mutants such as Rogue or Blob. Both X-Treme Rogue and Ultimate Rogue had wolverine's adamantium claws spreading out, long after absorbing the latter's power, maybe as a result of template recall and as a result of absorbing powers at distance in her ultimate form.
ya exactly juggernaut's power taken by togue would probably last less than it would let say someone like toad even if touched the same amount of time.
ac2ly rogue only got her super strength and flying abilities sooner when she was older... she only got that from Miss Marvel when Rogue took too much of her powers and put her in a coma.
yaaay Rogue! i loved her in the 90's series! it showed how isolating it can be not to be able to have contact with other people. i think she's a very complex and broken character its great :P

Rogue's betrayal by going back to the brotherhood is to facsilitate continuity. think of it as Wolverine and the xmen is a tyer between xmen Evolution (w/c is a prequel) and the 90s show wherein they's adults already. Here, rogue is back with the brotherhood so that later on while on a mission with Mystique, she will permanently absorb Ms.Marvel aka Carol Danvers' powers of flight and super strength

I like Wolverine but Evolution was better because it didn't focus just on Wolverine.
It made Wolverine more like Wolverine aswell because he would sometimes leave x-men and not show up for a while which what Wolverine always did.

@black777666lol To be honest, I liked Rogue in Evolution, and I liked how they gave her a troubled past and her feelings of hatred towards Mystique. That and they did a nice job in developing her sibling relationship with Nightcrawler. But I agree, I wish that they gave more development on her relationship with Gambit in Evolution, which is, to be honest, a pretty awesome show.

rogue was originally made to be hot... that's why im disappointed to see her like that in evolution and now this.... i enjoy the animation in this version but still, rogue isnt just rogue for no reason.... that's why people liked her, she's sexy but she aint no slut and she displayed a strong independent image of women... but this rogue... is very PLAIN and typical. but im gonna watch it anyway. wouldnt hurt... just an overwhelming sense of disappointment, but yeah, im watching it..

Well the truth is, all three animated series have played off of Rogue at diff times. I read some of my parents X-men comics from when I was a baby and she was very insecure, very shy, and kinda emo and with anger management problems. By the 90's, that is when we got the sassy and confident rogue that they portrayed in the 90's cartoon. Although the X-mens' time line is slower than ours, she has had over 20 years to develop ;)

Evolution was weak in my opinion. Put the X-Men in a teeny bopper setting and you get Evolution. Personally the show is alright, but I think WATXM does the series justice.

its a 1: 60 ratio. if she touches some1 for 1 sec, she has his/her mutant ability for 60 secs. if she touches him for 2 secs , she has her powers for 120secs , and so on. In the case of Ms Marvel, she held on for too long and retained permanently the latter's powers,i.e, invulnerability, superstrength ( lifting 50 tons) and flight. In certain incarnations , Rogue could use template recalls , i,e, call upon powers she had absobed in the past and use them.

good guess for the ratio pretty close call but they never actually had a real estimate on whats her power's ratio. because she can touch kitty and wolverine at the same time but without guessing rogue would get kitty's whole powers and most of her thoughts and would be able to hold on to her powers longer than she could with wolverines. its more of how powerful or how corrupt or joyous is someone, is what really determines how long. but if it were regular people then ya the ratio would be close.

in the case of extremely powerful beings such as Juggernaut or Mojo, they have proved to be resistant to Rogue's powers. Wolverine is not exactly a powerful mutant (though the most popular and a fan-favourite :) compared to Gamma-level mutants such as Rogue or Blob. Both X-Treme Rogue and Ultimate Rogue had wolverine's adamantium claws spreading out, long after absorbing the latter's power, maybe as a result of template recall and as a result of absorbing powers at distance in her ultimate form.

Rogue's betrayal by going back to the brotherhood is to facsilitate continuity. think of it as Wolverine and the xmen is a tyer between xmen Evolution (w/c is a prequel) and the 90s show wherein they's adults already. Here, rogue is back with the brotherhood so that later on while on a mission with Mystique, she will permanently absorb Ms.Marvel aka Carol Danvers' powers of flight and super strength
