It's a stupid call that they should do away with, but it was a rim hanging tech because he's basically doing a chin up to the rim. The technicals were for the days when the league was struggling financially and they had cheaper equipment. Do away with it!
Actually don't think it was for hanging...you can hear him scream at another player after the dunk and the commentator says it's for taunting. Still shouldn't be a Tech though
If the players hangs 3 or more seconds the refs usually call the foul but sometimes if the player can't go down with security because there are other players in the paint they usually dont call the tecnical. Sorry for the English
could abybody explain why do the refs call those bitch-ass fouls for hanging on the rim?, sometimes they do call them, sometimes not...I just don't get it
