Cool car! Theres actually quite a history behind this car. I remember when they were sold as DeTomasos and later you had to have your car rebadged as a Qvale because of legal matters between DeTomaso and Bruce Qvale.

It's not a rebodied Mustang. It has a bespoke chassis designed by Enrique Scalabroni who worked for Williams F1 and Ferrari. Of course they used the Ford engine and interior parts to keep down the costs. But all DeTomaso cars before this used Ford engines and parts. This car formed the basis of the MG XPower SV.

Granted everyone has opinions, heck I do too haha, but I research these cars therefore I know what it took to develop and the car's roots. sometimes I wish more people would take a second, re think their post and just learn instead of be constantly negative.

All I see is a rebodied Ford Mustang, but I can certainly appreciate how unique and rare it is. I really like the roof arrangement, and the bolstering on the steering wheel looks really cool. After you mention shared roots with the Pantera I just kept wondering why the Pantera wasn't more popular than it was. They were & are great cars. They were expensive but not Ferrari expensive, they were fast, simple & easy to fix and or modify with the American V8. They were world class cars when they came out and I have always wondered why they weren't more popular. One of my neighbors had this in the same color, but it was a manual. Sounded sweet but then so does a mustang, and a mustang costs nowhere near as much. Had another neighbor with a bright red 71 Detomaso pantera though. Now THAT was a cool car. I like the idea of italian styling with american muscle, but this mangusta just has too many mustang bits for my taste. Nice find Kyle

I think it looks cool. Different, but cool. The Ford styling cues are not bad. They are just simple and easy to use. At least they try to hide the Ford stuff and those engines are bulletproof. I am also not a Ford guy so you can't blame it on me. Hey Kyle! How heavy was the targa piece of the top? I have seen some that are pretty heavy.
