comparing led zeppelin with kiss? is like comparing a fantasy book with a fantasy comic strip. sorry, i love both, but they play different leagues. the only kiss products that could be compared with led zeppelin products would be the kiss alive I and II, and only because of ace and peter. because these kiss musicians managed to play really finest stuff. but in general kiss is fast food to me, and led zeppelin a fine dinner. both have their places and i enjoy that. but i don't mix it up.

Gene by the way isn't an angel either, the freaken guy never gave credit to Vinnie Vincent for the Revenge album as well as some of the other band mates aka the original Ace and Peter Criss. Ace and Peter get full credit for everything they've done, and actually Criss and Freheley are credited on playing on a couple of albums that they didn't play on towards the end of the original run. Gene is 50% owner of the KISS trademarks, anything that happens is a collaboration between him and Paul Stanley. Ace and Peter are huge parts of Kiss history, but the band is bigger than it's members, even Gene and Paul.

You know Gene is not a violent man at all, but I can tell you that they don't call him the Demon for nothing. When you take a look at Gene in one of his first roles as a killer, they say good actors aren't really acting, but just revealing a real part of their personality. I think if you ever fucked with Gene's family, there would be no place to hide on this earth

gotta love the fake Peter Criss and fake Ace ;) what an audacity to steal someones makeup. Gene by the way isn't an angel either, the freaken guy never gave credit to Vinnie Vincent for the Revenge album as well as some of the other band mates aka the original Ace and Peter Criss. He's a lying cheapskate. Took most of the credit for the songs he didn't even write or initiate.

@syndrome666 nobody stole the makeup. Gene and Paul own the trademarks for it. Ace and Peter get full credit for everything they've done, and actually Criss and Freheley are credited on playing on a couple of albums that they didn't play on towards the end of the original run. Gene is 50% owner of the KISS trademarks, anything that happens is a collaboration between him and Paul Stanley. Ace and Peter are huge parts of Kiss history, but the band is bigger than it's members, even Gene and Paul.

@ruinedwithregret actually since Ace and Peter created Their Own Personas They Stole Them. That's why they waited so long to reveal Eric Carr because they were thinking of a new persona with him... and well, Vinny Vincent's Persona sucked so that didn't take long haha

@JoeyNOTShaw Yes, Ace and Peter created their personas. They then sold the rights to those likenesses to Gene and Paul. Again, nobody stole them. And they didn't wait long at all to reveal Eric Carr.They held auditions for drummers in early June of 1980, and Carr debuted with the band June 25th. Peter had left the band the previous December, and between then they recorded Unmasked which anton Fig did the drumming on but Peter Criss got the credit for.

@ruinedwithregret true, but what my point was with Eric Carr was that he had tried different personas and created one that fit him. and it didnt take that long, but that only mean why couldn't Tommy and Eric do the same? They knew the shit they were gonna stir, it's the principle. that's like gene quitting and they bring another guy in and he's the demon now. but his tounge not long. it'd be a joke and people would be outraged because that sthe signature KISS look. Tommy can't pull off Ace.

Gene Simmons was kicked out bc he didn't follow the recomendations of Kodak execs of focusing on ink, while Gene said he should focus on the Kodak experience, i.e., focus on branding.
Guess what? He was 100% right. The whole "ink efficient printer" has yet to carry Kodak out of the slump.
The man is a marketing genius, pure and simple.

Kodak was already in the slump as early as 2003. When the economy was at the peak in 2006, Kodak was posting record losses so it's not exactly an economy thing.
