Yes, it is kind of rushed because this is a shortened version of the song, and is part of a compilation of performances of Kris Kristofferson's hits over the years. Somewhere on YouTube there is the full video that shows all 5 or 6 country artists singing shortened versions of Kris' songs, like Willie Nelson, who sang one right after the other.
