Where do the guns go ?. Seriously I wish you could buy these toay but you car driving clarkson copy chavs would never drive one as too scared to look different from their boring chavvy friends
This could and should be produced again. It could take advantage of micro car regulations and provided the power and kerb weight were restricted this would not need at the air bags or fancy bells and whistles. At over 100mpg it would also help eke out dwindling finite resources. If I was a youngster looking for the freedom of a motorbike without getting cold or wet...I would have one in a flash
@nicobellicliberty It has 4 reverse gears. The 200s do anyway, I imagine the 175 works similarly. for the 200 you just start the engine the other way round :)
@nicobellicliberty Well, it doesn't *need* 4 but since the car has 4 forward gears, and that to get in reverse you basically start the engine turning the other way round, you automatically get reverse gears. It doesn't mean you *use* 4 gears whilst reversing, that would be a little dangerous...
The time has come to make these again, with better mechanicals. All of the sheet metal is being produced in Great Britan. I am certain these would be a huge hit if built to quality standards. And, classified as a motorcycle, tehy would avoid a lot of US regulations such as crash testing.
@gumpydoood I doubt it would work somehow... the days of nice cars are unfortunately long gone... with all of today's regulations and safety crap and modern materials, a new version of this would just be heavier, look different, and probably be as, if not more, expensive to buy than an original; not to mention all the charm would be gone... :(

manufacturing giant, forced by fascist government to make warplanes during WWII,returns to it's roots and makes silly miniature cars that intrigue people for generations to follow...No,not the least bit depressing.
Willy Messerschmitt never actually designed these cars, he simply rented out space in his aircraft factories to manufacture them. Not like he could do much else during the post war years.
haha that would be the worst car to fart in

If you're going to build a three wheeled commuter car, this is the way to do it, with the two wheels in the front, instead of in the back.

I think I would've found that nasty little cockpit to be extremely claustrophobic - especially for the back seat passenger.

(P.S= Do this car have a reverse gear?)

4 Reverse gears?
I've heard about cars with 12 Speed Gearbox (or was that a truck?) but....
Why it needed 4 anyway?
