Basically, If they just showed a picture of a planet it would look like a little blur of light and no one would give a shit in the first place.

That's what they have to do. When you're observing a planet in our solar system, it's similar to taking pictures of a bullet shot up towards the sky. There's gonna be a bunch of shit in the way of most of the image so Hubble has to get shots from different angles, make multiple passes and take shots in wavelengths that we can't see.
Basically, If they just showed a picture of a planet it would look like a little blur of light and no one would give a shit in the first place.

Well, there are dozens of text books on the subject TheDreamer. Energy coalleces into matter; stars and their planets form from heat, gravity, and many other physical constants. And yes, there really was a big bang... probably one of an infinite number; hard to say as matter and energy cannot be created nor destroyed (first law of thermodynamics.)

Unless you have a really giant monitor, there is no way to draw the Solar System to scale and still see the planets.
The Earth is only 1 / 5,800,000th the size of the orbit of Pluto's orbit roughly.
In other words if you drew the earth as one pixel in size, the edge of the solar system would be over 7000 19" Monitors away.

Before Charon was found the mass estimates for Pluto was that it was a bit heavier than Mercury... now we know that we were counting both Pluto and Charo in the calculation as one object and that they actually are too small to be considered planets. I may be mistaken though, I am no astronomer I just read too many magazines on that subject...
