  • I fall asleep before I can astral project! Please give me some methods to stay awake! Thx in advance

  • Ok, so Ive been practicing and after a couple mintues, i get the vibrations. I try my hardest to get the sinking feeling or imagine myself standing by my body. But I lay there for a long time and nothing ever happens. Do you have any suggestions on what to do? Oh and also do Astral Projections feel like vivid dreams like Lucid Dreaming, or do you actually feel like you are in your physical body but you can do anything you want? Thank you

  • @FerretsandFriends I used to have this problem. Basically, you just have to focus more on the relaxation aspect. It could be that your mind is too actively awake. You gotta find that right balance between wakefulness and sleeping. It's pretty tricky, but if you do it right and keep your awareness up while relaxing like you're going to sleep, then you can (and if you keep trying long enough, eventually will) enter the state of sleep paralysis and separation is simple from there.

  • @FerretsandFriends Also, in my experience, astral projection is quite different from lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming still feels like a dream. Astral projection is something else entirely. It has dream-y qualities for sure, but it's much, much more vivid and almost hyper-realistic. Your mind feels completely awake and all of your senses are sharpened in a way that's really hard to describe. You can actually forget that you're in the astral plane and start questioning if you're really awake.

  • you literally answered one of my questions because every time i try to astral project i violently jerk causing me to wake up

  • Ok, so whenever i try to asteral project I have a problem

so i get the whole room moving thing but then i fall asleep if i don't snap out of it early...is there anything i can do to reduce the chance of me falling asleep without hindering me in my attempts at asteral projection

  • @PyroReptoid,

You need to feel for the right time, as your body feels like it can't move, you get a sinking feeling, like your body is made of wax, you let your body go and you simply stepout, Astral projection can feel like a dream.

Jolts and sudden un-prompted wake up's are normal in the early stages... Using the method of the alarm clock was how I started out, however for much more connected and unforced experiences I would seek meditational exersizes, working around Chakra alignment
