now DS lite is out, the design is just as sleek, the screens are brighter and just as colorful, and the battery life extends even farther away from the PSP's, all at a super mega low price: $130.

I predict a logaritmic explosion in sales shortly.

What do you mean by spring style? The buttons push out when you press them down? Also, whats the proper name for the buttons for the original DS?

No, it's a sliding spring switch. Like I said, just take a look at the PSP's power switch it's just like it(except for the Hold function). I don't know the "proper name" for the buttons on the original DS. I'm sure Nintendo customer service could help you out there.

Yes, the power button is on the bottom half on the right side. It is also not a prototype.

A couple of other small facts:

The screen is brighter than the PSP's screen in normal overhead lighting.

The power button is a spring style button, like the PSP's. However it's much sturdier.

Yes I am a Nintendo fanboy... but regardless of that, I never said the DS's screens are better than the PSP's screen. I did say it is brighter, though. That is a fact. Whether the DS's screens are better or the PSP's screen is better is a personal opinion determined by what attributes you favor in a screen. Concerning that, I have not given my opinion yet.

The DS has its strong points, but its screen isnt one.
