@applesweeter yeah i do, you don't want a camel toe or showing too much. make sure your leggings are thick enough though so you don't see your pants line, you can get footless tights that are masquerading as leggings and they show your underwear embarrassingly clearly.

I love this outfit! Very helpful ideas :) Leggings can be difficult to wear. I think they look best in fall/winter with a layered look like the one you showed.

I think it's a good rule to treat leggings like opaque tights. You can get away with shorter skirts, dresses, and tunics than you could with bare legs or sheer hoes, but you still can't have your back (panty line!) or front (camel toe O.o) on display.

So personally I'd have worn a longer shirt with this outfit, to keep my front covered as well. Otherwise, I agree with your tips, and it is a cute outfit!

Haha, your comment made me snort. I think it just looks gross when someones undies dig in, so they get the 4-bum -check-effect : even super skinny girls can't pull it off, and certainly NEVER wear a g-string XD

I like the tip about covering your butt and front, it's very important that everyone knows that that absolutely has to happen =) As far as wearing leggings and heels, I think they look awesome with plain pumps as long as you're staying monochromatic and match your leggings to your pumps.
