This particular arrangement is done by 'The Real Group'. The Real Group is an amazing swedish a cappella, but they sing a lot of english songs as well. If you want to check out how great they are, just search them on youtube. Hope it helped.
Oh yeah , This was great Thanks you so much for sharing your morning with me I so enjoyed my self I pray that my saving a few of your videos on my favorites will bring you a lot more veiws! I really love your stuff!
Nice! I didn't know you went to Tamuk. I marched on their football field in Nov. 2004 during the NCAA div, 2 playoff game. I loved how the stadium was surrounded by palm trees!
Absolutely phenomenal! Best soprano I've ever heard! Very enthusiastic, dynamic, and articulated group! Incredible. I've like to hear some more of you guys on YouTube
You listed all of my favorite Jazz groups in your description. This is a great performance. An incredibly hard song, you guys pulled it off beautifully. And your high notes sounded effortless, as always.

OK - this is very neat. Your soprano is on top, and the alto is okay at times. But generally speaking, your harmonies could have sounded better. One thing I have to say though, is that you all seem like you're having spasms on the stage and, unfortunately, it ruins the general impression. Jesus, guys, it tears me apart that you all look like it hurts :o((((((
heh.. you are probably referring to our bass (4rth person from the left). Our soundman had him turned WAY too far down. In fact, the whole balance is a little off. There's nothing we could do about that on stage, so we just sang it the best we could.. thanks for watching! ~Ej
it must have been published at some point because we had music for it.. this was a while back. I think they must have just stopped publishing it. I'm still trying to find my copy if I saved it. Also, the intro wasn't published, but I learned that by ear to teach to the other guys.. the published version had the slower alternate intro that the real group does.. thanks for listening!
"The Alto was too loud.... the guys were tooooo soft."
It's hard to say that for sure with a non-professional, home recording. The high end often ends up being overpowering in recording like this, without good equalization.
i think we were having some technical problems with the soundboard. I know you can barely hear our poor bass, and the guys overall are definitely mixed lower. They probably had them turned down too much.. nothing we could do about that! Ty for watching! ~Ej
Wow, that was awesome! I've heard the original version of that sung by the Real Group. Y'all aren't quite as good as the Real Group, of course, but you're getting there! And you're voice is amazing! I can't believe you can sing that freakin' high! The only time I've ever heard anyone sing any higher than you is in "'Round Midnight" by the New York Voices (which is by the way my favorite jazz group also!).
GRRRRR, my last dang comment disappeared, BLUH! It was much wittier than this.....
I know exactly what you mean, our college music program is trying to rebuild after years of nothing. I am in the choir this semester and there are FIVE of us!!!
People who haven't ever done this kind of performing, group harmony, haven't a clue that work it involves.
This is a very difficult arrangement, and this is an excellent performance. I have a recording of it done by the Axidentals.

do you know of any way to get this arrangement? I'll pay for it if need be.
drumact8 4 years ago
too much ladies voice on this one. can barely hear the guys, and can barely make out the harmony. and singing at that high speed, it turns into mush.

Hmm - Can anybody tell me whose arrangement this is? I've looked around a fair bit and can't find it anywhere.
