this is called a ''wish fulfillment'' narrative. an ugly loser woman fantasises over men she will never get, makes pathetic double entendres over them (yawn) which are supposed to be charming and yet pathetic at the same time, and then gets a comedy series commissioned based on all that. no wonder the UK is falling apart.

@055697 The whole funny thing about the story is that the character isn't pretty, attractive or sexy etc. The irony is she is tall, with a full shape (not fat!!), and terrible clumsy. I don't think its the wishfull thinking of the actress herself. Its a story she writes. The actress said herself in an interview, the story isn't based on her own life (nor her wishes). I neither agree with that the story is totally based on the fantasies of a woman. Its mainly about a clumsy woman.
