I mean, you're part-way there- Satire is a clever way to make broad social commentary, and they are doing that with the news, but it's not journalism. Sure, the current media is not true journalism anymore either, but there IS a way to wade through the bullshit and other sources. I mean, if the only alphabet you know when it comes to news is CNN, FOX, NPR, MSNBC, and CBSNEWS you're limiting yourself greatly.

It's only funny if you've ever been forced to watch ER or grey's anatomy by your girlfriend or your sister or else somebody equally incompetent with a remote. I laughed a little at the first 2 episodes but at the end of the second when the clown is talking and starts having a flashback of being molested by his male baby sitter it wasn't funny just highly disturbing... not funny at all

This show really, truly sucks. Not a single moment is funny. For that matter, there really aren't any moments that aren't painfully predictable or numbingly boring. I'm pretty sure that Rob Corddry has made me laugh before somewhere in the past, and I'm confident that he can do better than this, but until then, the results of the urine test are in on this one.
