  • Didn't apple do this in 2006 when they introduced the iPhone with 3g? If i was late for work the last thing I would be doing is all the things listed in this video, instead, if I really needed to do the dumb things in this video, I would do them on my iPhone or HTC, on my way to work!! hahahaha

  • Late for work? 1 - surf the web, 2 - Chat using Skype, 3- Checkout Photos, 4- Watch a youtube clip on some dude fragin another dude on Doom 3.

  • if she was my g/f she'd be late for work every morning

  • lol late for work and surfing on the net instead..the queen of nerds

  • So express gate stops time too?....

  • she's hot hot hot..

  • I have a laptop with express gate. What do you do/press at startup to get into it?

  • @thompsonmatthew, probably a function key during boot. Or read the instructions.

  • THIS RUINED MY LIFE!!!!!

  • @staubfc why xD?

  • @staubfc

This video or Express gate is self....

  • All express gate is is a Modified version of a Linux distro :)

  • @philipkimbrell90 same with OSX, but yet so few people realize this.

  • she was so late she turned her computer on and forgot that she is late

  • Stupid commercial

  • enjoy online videos when your late for work!

  • I have a dv camera recorder and I don´t know how to transfer my videos to my ASUS UL50V, cuz there is no link connection on the computer,...help?

    I´m a very beginner...

  • @dumbasschild Does it use Firewire? If you don't know what is, look it up on Google Images.

  • @Bullonieful It dosen´t work it stands in the simplified guide that u need a link connection..? omg I suck at this xD

  • Late for work? Be a man instead.

  • I think this is the happiest person I've ever seen. Gotta try that express gate!

  • if u build a system with an asus mobo that has express gate, can you skip out on the os for about two weeks?

  • I have this on my laptop and let me tell you it's a piece of crap. You are so limited to the things you can do that it's ridiculous. Basically it's Skype with limited functionality and a web browser also with limited functionality. Would be better off hibernating or dual booting.

  • I thought she was late for work, she's got time to mess around on her PC though.....

  • Asus Express Gate PC - 5 Seconds

Asus Express Gate Notebook - 8 Seconds

Asus Express Gate Website - 2 Minutes

  • I switched to Apple in 2005, so this question may sound dumb. Do people turn computers off anymore? I just ran the 'uptime' command on my laptop and I haven't rebooted it in 128 days. I just open my laptop use it and close it when done. Less than 2 seconds to come out of sleep.

  • @mwoods1 I do the same in my netbook.. it has windows 7 on it. I literally never rebooted the O/S since I installed it like 6 months ago.

  • Linux rocks, see ya windows, Linux is on everything from your tomtom, phones, gaming consoles. it was used to make the halo movie so wtf are we paying bill gates for his garbage virus ridden shit. fuck off bill gates

  • @bushuasseh lol lol what a pathetic lol

linux is shit my friend.. no games, no software, installing a hardware takes 2 days of reading/browsing tech sites, when it crashes the only option for novices like me is "reinstall or install microsoft"

linux can be used as embedded to devices like phone, microwave owen, maybe an electronic dildo for your mom

  • @beltatex Oh you gotta be fucking kidding. So, I guess, I just somehow got linux working on my laptop and PC by magic without doing anything. I guess that Windows is magically more helpful when it BSODs. I guess I imagined all the thousands of entries in the software centres.

And, just a wild guess, you don't know shit about Linux.

  • @olegator5 Oh my, no! A linufag! FSM help us, you are a pro-haxxorz aren't you? Lol, seriously, BSOD? I haven't seen a BSOD in like... four years now, have almost forgot what it looks like... and I'm using windows! Fuck, how does it feel getting Kernel errors when you fuck up your OS with user generated content? Yeah, must feel nice- the facts are though: Windows is the best/most compatible OS available and the easiest for users to configure and use. So it will be always the preference of most.

  • @Razgrits Yeah, I kinda guessed you are using Windows. Even Mac fans aren't that defensive.

SWIM: Statement: Windows is no more helpful that Linux in "BSOD/Kernel Panic" situations.

Your response: *bullshit about not seeing BSOD*

I really dunno how does it feel to fuck up your OS, maybe just because my hands are in their sockets and operating well. My last "oops" was three years ago because the electricity got screwed. Windows=compatible? Yes. Windows=easiest? My grandma begs to differ.

  • @olegator5 Defensive? First of all, the statement was more like: "U n00b i put linux s i m pro go gt bsod."

Referring to BSOD after 2008 is plainly retarded, because if you BSOD in windows after '08 you must be the kind of noob that has down syndrome. That being said, you are the typical BSOD-excuse linufag. Hence the attack, nothing to be defensive about.

  • @Razgrits Hush, I use Windows but Linux certainly has advantages, such as... Oh how about no viruses?

    The only noob is you.

  • @Rubr1k No viruses... oh... right. Uh, why don't you actually go and look up a bit and see how dead wrong you are on that part before getting more into this conversation. ;)

I can give you example of many short viruses ranging from 7 kb to 240 kb. Wake the fuck up, there is no OS with -no- viruses. I have had windows along with Linux and use windows only the past 7 years. I only got 3 virus warnings in that time and didn't get a SINGLE virus that actually threatened my computer at all.

  • @Rubr1k The end line is this; It all comes down to the user, if you are a retard you will get a virus and fuck up your rig. If you are not one, it doesn't matter what OS you are using and what protection you have. By the way, I only use Avast, nothing more, and even that is only for a safety measure, as I said it has only gotten triggered 3 times. And those were only Trojans, no actual virus. Also, since I bought my first PC(around 9-10 years) I have only done 5 formats and everything is smooth.

  • @Razgrits I said Linux has advantages SUCH as not getting viruses. Any person with a bit of common sense can run a Windows machine with no problems. Linux is, unlike Windows, Unix based which also has many advantages, including performance ones.

I don't care to hear about "my computer runs Windows lag free" because no matter how you put it, Linux and OS X are faster.

  • @Rubr1k Yes, and now you repeated yourself and I must tell you once more, you are wrong, you do get viruses. And yeah, you can run windows lag free if you want to. Deactivate those retarded visuals and background programs you don't need and it can run just as well as a Unix system. The programing is almost identical on both OSes. I have no experience with Macs so I can't talk about them. But anyway, point is, it's always the user, not the machine which lags. Noobs will be noobs and fuck shit up.

  • Мля, бредовый ролик. Опаздывала, а потом раз, как засела повтыкать в фотографии, инет и ютуб.

  • This seems like it would be far more useful if they had spend a few bucks for 512mb of USB flash memory on the motherboard or 1gb, and put express gate on that instead of on your harddrive. A 2gb usb drive is only $9, so at most it could of cost them maybe another $4 or less if it were surface mounted on the mobo. And then computer would work even with no HD or if HD failed.

  • What are you tallking about? :)

The express gate linux distro IS on a small Flash memory SSD drive ON the motherboard, not on the harddrive.

  • shit music

  • i'm using expressgate right now on my new Asus, its pretty badass. I discovered it by accident. It has its own dedicated power button. It really does boot up extremely fast. pretty leet!

  • Can you print from Express Gate? Does it recognize printers? For example, I'm late going somewhere, and realize I don't have directions to get there. 10 Seconds later, I'm looking at Google Maps. Can I print the directions? Or do I have to write it down?

  • I have this on my ASUS M4A785-M motherboard and I can't seem to figure out how to boot into express gate. =\

  • You boot it on BIOS.

  • I know, I finally figured out that it actually had to be installed onto the hard drive; I was under the assumption that it was a flash memory chip located on the motherboard that held the Linux-Bases OS. It is a hassle, and Isn't worth installing.

  • OMFG! I just figured out what express gate was and I was just using it,I was extremely impressed, hey who need WIndows Vista or Win7?!

Lol jk but man this thing is fucking awesome ASUS will not let me down,I had this Motherboard for almost a year and seeing something new,it just makes me happier with the product,THANKS TO ASUS! :D

  • ...but noe she's more late 4 work, no good :)... nooo she's too good :p

  • late for work? use expressgate to sit back down and watch YOUTUBE!

  • @alextheromanian I lol'd

  • @alextheromanian Girl: Oh! I forgot to make that 5 hours long Video respons!

  • @alextheromanian

    great motherboard retarded commercial LOL

  • Sex sells.

  • damm.... she's hot!  >=)

  • DSL LINUX and you'll get the same

  • @LaIslaLeon correct...all gimmicks

  • She's hot =)

  • i thought she was late for work? why the crap is she surfing youtube and on skype? jeez send the email and be on your way.. lol im gonna go check this out i have it on my MOBO but haven't messed with it

  • thats corporate cunts for ya, theyd rather run over your grandma with their american suv than wait for her to cross the road if they were late for pilate classes

  • Can you do this even if you dont have a hard drive?

  • I think so..cause the express gate boots of the mother board.

  • have problem with vista...so i use ASUS Express Gate

  • My intel SSD takes 10 seconds to boot to windows 7 after post

  • thats motha fuckin good for you go get ya self a cookie now

  • can anyone explain me the sense of this?(without the reason that i will safe time)

  • that's a silly question...

anyway, everything in computer has always been related to time saving , aside from that, it is also energy saving. no need to boot up your entire system only to check emails. Or you just want to put some music on, you don't need to have everything up and running wasting electricity. If that doesn't make sense to you... i don't know....

  • that was a reply to dakenkrowe

  • in the way you explained me it make sense but im not this user type. (my Pc don't need much energy)

thank you for explaining......no really no joke....

  • any1 want to teach me how to use the expressgate feature? i got a p6t board and installed the expressgate thing. but what now i see the expessgate thing in the beginning but thats it

  • Comment removed

  • Anyone who doesn't understand why this is a great feature probably pays to have their computer fixed when there is a problem with their operating system. As countless individuals have pointed out this feature comes in handy when your operating system is unstable and you need to access the internet to find a solution to your problem.

I don't know why people get soo upset when you point something out they didn't know.

  • i have an asus laptop and expressgate installed but how do i use it?

  • @kristofferpowers Couldn't you just boot the computer using a CD or a USB-stick?

  • lol can't she just forget her makeup and get going?

  • If she was late for work why did she have time to watch youtube videos

  • Because express gate started up so fast she had extra time to do the things she wouldn't have otherwise.

  • It's a promotion video. You expected it to be "real"?

  • that's a pretty cheesy commercial if you ask me, but what can you expect from a Youtube commercial I guess..

  • what is express gate exactly? is it a way to get to the web or skype without having to boot to windows?

  • yep. in 5 secs.

  • Thats just stupid cuz if Im late for something,l i wouldn't watch youtube and talk to people on skype for half an hour!

Besides, who turns their computer off anyway??

    lmao

  • "Besides, who turns their computer off anyway??

    lmao"

    Um...people who pay for electricity?

  • lol. you still do have to worry about electric bills with a mac. Yes they may not use as much power power as today pc's but it still uses it.

  • dude u should turn off ya computer, not safe to leave it on. so many nieve people doing this unaware of how fried your comp will get. u say its ok coz u have a mac but im serious no matter wat comp u have u rllly should turn it off. at least for a few hours every day or 2 at the most.

  • standby works just as well.

  • I suppose you save your keyboard by leaving out half what you say, go wear out a dictionary.....

  • lol is my lack of grammer offending you or something? get a life mate this aint school

  • you sir, are an idiot. More PC problems are caused by turning off/on your PC than anything else. case in point: a Hard Drive's lifespan is measured in starts and stops i.e how many times you turn it on and turn it off. I have only turned my PC off maybe 10 times in the 5 years I've owned it and its still running strong. Please stop misinforming people when you have no clue.

  • LMAO hahaha, that's fucking epic mate

  • Comment removed

  • weird music

  • She's late for work, and then decides to watch YouTube videos and look at pictures?!

  • like.... who turns off their PC anyways D=

  • i dont lol

  • me do :D

  • the lazy bitch doesn't wake up early

  • I just installed my first P5Q Motherboard this morning and after I setup the LAN Port it connected to the ASUS Express Gate after the reboot. It really is an amazing feature.

    P5Q ~ Q6600 ~ 8GB Ballistix ~ Radeon X1950 Pro ~ 10,324 on 3DMark05. Cheap and quick setup.

  • im confused.... My mainbord is the Asus M3N78-VN WITH express gate..

everytime i want to boot up it says fgor a short time "express gate is not installed"

    omg help?

is the express gate software or hardware?

  • You have to install express gate from the driver CD, its under utilities at the top of the menu.

  • Install it with the CD of Drivers that it came with.

  • Incredible! It's about time hardware manufacturers started thinking outside the box. :)

  • this thing is actually quite cool and useful

  • lol that girl looks pretty retarded matches the music well...

    BAD COMMERCIAL IMO!

  • Just don't turn off your PC

  • The girl is really cute... express gate is really usefull if microchot hangs up and you need an internet connection to find solution to your problem

  • My XP boots for about a minute (maybe it's two, I forgot) and it's sluggish. I'm reinstalling it, hoping it will get better. I was getting used to it, but then I booted Linux after a long time and seen how fast it should go. Linux boots in 20 seconds for me btw.

  • "Late for work?" "Forgot an important e-mail?" "Quick Chat? No problem!" "Check Photos!" "Enjoy Online Videos" ... AND ... you've been fired.

  • lol, looks like shes enjoing watching online videos while shes late

  • it's awesome!

    i'm use m2n68

    and use express gate

everytime that my os has a problem

or don't wait for boot to windows.

  • just get 6 SSD in raid 0 and you don't need that linux crap. with the 6 drives you can boot vista in 10 seconds. just 5 more seconds you need to wait! and you get a full OS

    jk jk lol

  • I assume jk jk lol is windohs-speak for I aint serious that Vista is a credible OS. I have 2 SSD's and it takes longer to boot than my mac which has standard hd's Also discounting the daily patching subsequent reboots that eat away at my life and all the problems Windohs. It's BS.

  • you are an idiot, sir. So you hate Express Gate just because it's linux? That's racist... somehow.

    And Linux is better btw.

  • ah so i guess my sarcasm sucks. i should stop being sarcastic huh? i guess thats a yes.

  • In fact, I rather recommend Windows 7 (beta) for everybody. Really fast, and usefull, forget all about Vista.

  • Should I believe you? Lots of people are hoping for better Windows, so they make themselves believe 7 is better. It's completely normal and expected behavior. But why would M$ make better Windows? People would buy it anyway, even if it's worse. Look at vista. Tho not all people want to buy vista, but it would still be cheaper for M$ to just restyle Windows and sell again, than make all ppl buy it. I've got pretty bad experiences with Windows, it always goes bad after time. That's the worst prob.

  • My Windows 7 Beta is running 100% flawless. No issues, or anything. But my 2 older Vista pc's were pissing me off, with lots of issues. - Vista was great, Vienna is better.

  • Vista was great? Or was it pissing you off?

  • Great, but program/drivers which didn't worked, pissed me off.

  • You're right, Windows 7 is by far the best windows yet, as a matter of fact, many can't believe it's Wind-Oh's any more.

  • They'd make Windows better so people would buy it.

XP still has a 60%+ market share and Vista has something like 20%. So your comment about people just buying a new version of Windows anyway is clearly wrong.

Microsoft probably thought people would just buy Vista and look what happened.

  • That's going to change once windows 7 comes out.

  • I disagree with you. Sure, Vista was crap, but what you're doing is labeling a company based on previous failures. Take Windows Mojave experiment, for example. It was just Vista, but they made people think it wasn't, and people actually liked it.

  • The "people" you refer to were people who had never used vista, and they were shown an OS on a custom built computer that was demonstrated by a salesman, so they were unable to try out the software themselves.

The main problem with vista sales is that the things vista adds that XP dosnt have isnt worth the cost in performance. Why buy more ram just to break even with what you had?

  • that's so true ilike..

  • Microsoft wanted to make their operating system more user friendly, so they took out the pesky "up" button to help you navigate through folders.

Now they say you can make a shortcut in every folder on your harddrive that points to the folder 1 level up if you need that functionality.

  • yea is fast and reliable until you use it!! lol

  • Cool idea. Especially considering the boot time of Vista =/

  • Comment removed

  • I thought she was late for work? Yth is she checking photos she probably already saw?

  • I was thinking the same exact thing.

  • Hey even a busy gal's gotta make time for some quick porn before work!

  • I was hoping she'd have nude photo's of herself on her computer :/

  • How Asus notebooks are rated in terms of quality comparing to HP or Dell in the western countries?

  • this girl is a prostitute, she doesn't need to leave her house for work, so i think she can wait the extra 30 for pc to boot

  • well ur not exactly "paying" for it. Its a feature on the mobo and sure I guess that MAY increase the price slightly, but the motherboard I purchased the ASUS M4A79 Deluxe is actually one of the best mobos out there and having this extra feature actually seems quite nice if my OS were to crash and I was trying to look up a blue screen error etc..

  • what is the fuking point in this? my pc boots up in about 8 seconds, i don't need this gay shit asus!!!

  • maybe say in case your hard drive fails you can still access the internet and shit. You ungrateful piece of shit

  • Have fun paying for shit you will never use

  • it comes with all new new asus mobo i have mine disabled... learn more about asus they have kick ass motherboard features although you may never use them hey its nice to have them then don't...

  • howd u disable it?

  • you go into the bios and there is a section i forgot the name that lets you enable or disable express gate.... i had to disable several things on my pq5 pro like the cpu fan which drived me crazy because i used a zalman 9500 and it was plugged in another adapter but it would say it doesnt recognize a cpu fan and make annoying beeps in the beginning...

  • ahh In bios, thought so. thnx
