actually his crouching middle is very useful because if it hits or blocks on contact you can follow up with a boulder or claymore trap so you can back off to safety from direct assaults for a few seconds.

RR takes a seriously lot of practice, timeing and perfection. I have no idea how I'm so good with this guy online. I find him a great match up with Dr Doom's molecular shield which helps him extend combos or teleports.

I wouldn't say Rocket Raccoon is a zoner. I think he has some zoning shenanigans, but he isn't good enough for strictly zoning. He's more of a mixup character with the ability to rush down in my opinion.
@OreoTheWolf I disagree. He is capable of good rushing but most of this moves scream ZONING . Traps, shots, even his hypers, rocket skates (that have a delay at the end so they are not too good for rushing). He is too fragile to be looking for a close fight. He cannot safely rush as Ammy or Storm can, for example. Try it yourself and you will see.
@MorpheusVGX He has the same health as Strider. Are you saying Strider shouldn't be rushing down either?
His traps don't stay on the screen long enough to control any amount of space decently, his projectiles are slow and have terrible durability, and Rocket Skates can be cancelled into a normal. Not to mention his fantastic teleport. It seems like he's far more suited for getting in than zoning.
@OreoTheWolf I am not saying that. Strider can rush efectively with the tools he has: speed, range, teleports. Are you really using Rocket Racoon? Rocket Skates cannot be canceled into normals. His teleport is not fantastic, is kinda slow. I agree with what you said, that's why he is not good at zoning or getting in. He has to mix it but and it requires a huge amount of skill.
@MorpheusVGX I'm not saying he can rush in mindlessly. Rush down doesn't always mean laying down constant pressure. But with the proper assists, his rushdown is terrifying. Especially with his float cancel overheads. He has a much easier time opening people up than keeping them out. Also, I though Rocket Skates could be cancelled into jumping S.
Also, his teleport is definitely really good. It's faster than Vergil's. Not was fast as Wesker's, probably about as fast as Dante's.
No offense but week 1 was doing longer combos than that. You probably know this already but this is for people who don't really know you after the air series you can bear trap log trap rocket skate to the opponent relaunch and M s in the air then do another bear trap but you have to cancel it to the super quickly. Not super fast so it doesn't appear but fast enough that you can hear him say rocket it will combo. You can also relaunch in the corner with the oil bomb.
