I have actually sat and watched this whole documentary, which is a real eye opener. The sad thing is this depicts a way of life that is going to be confused with the way of life for all of Appalachia. Which is a very sad thing. There were many mining towns that faced poverty and struggle but the ways of dealing with it are different. I do not agree with nor support anything that this documentary talks about or shows. It saddens me to think this is what the country basis all Appalachia on.

well I watched the documentary yesterday. Whether or not they drink and smoke and have a good time is beside the point. The reality is that they did all kinds of drugs around the children. Condescending look at a troubled family. The filmmakers seem to almost promote their ridiculous behavior. Many of the characters appear to be acting for the camera, being complete idiots, instead of presenting a more positive appearance. There's about 2-minutes of social analysis in the film, but the majority of it is exploitation of a troubled family for no purpose other than to make money. This film has very questionable ethics and I question Tribeca for giving legitimacy to the film.

well I watched the documentary yesterday. Whether or not they drink and smoke and have a good time is beside the point. The reality is that they did all kinds of drugs around the children. Condescending look at a troubled family. The filmmakers seem to almost promote their ridiculous behavior. Many of the characters appear to be acting for the camera, being complete idiots, instead of presenting a more positive appearance. There's about 2-minutes of social analysis in the film, but the majority of it is exploitation of a troubled family for no purpose other than to make money. This film has very questionable ethics and I question Tribeca for giving legitimacy to the film.
