  • LOVE YOU. IAN ANDERSON. XXXXX.

  • Happy solstice and brightest blessings to all!

  • LOL!--Good Grief, whirlwitch & hokeyboy25..,,,on reading back, god knows why or how I wrote that! I've got J T dvds, cds and know full well I've made myself look ignorant with that comment but I can assure you I know better...I ought to seeing as I've been around forever, just like Ian,lol!! Anyway, the sentiments were all genuine as were my greetings for a great, festive weekend for everyone,so once again,as it is now Christmas Eve....HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!! K xx

  • @kbrowneyes Love the song too, but Jethro Tull is a band, not a person. The frontman is Ian Anderson.

  • Have a cool Yule ya`ll.

  • A very happy Yule to all of you, friends and enemies alike.

  • Happy Yule!!!

  • Want to post this to FB, but hate that "Blessed Yule" shows up.

  • Beautiful! Blessed Be and Happiness to All this Lovely Winter's Solstice!

  • Loved this forever! and loved JT and his utter quirkiness and fabulous music..an original,one-off guy with music that stays with you forever. HAPPY CHRISTMAS to all watching this as 2011 Christmas approaches. Best wishes for a great year ahead in 2012...boy,do we all need it,lol! "Cheers!"..K xx

  • @kbrowneyes Jethro Tull was the name of the band, not the name of any of the performers. I believe you mean the lead singer, Ian Anderson.

  • I love these pagan/wiccan holiday songs.....they are much more open and less hypocritical to those of us that do not embrace a pure christian dogma, but still preserve the spirit and holiness of the season....love to all....

  • Hmm :/ well one person is a grinch!

  • paganism culture gets no media time on tv i wonder what the prob is.The schools dont touch it

  • Axial Tilt is the reason for the Season!

  • I Love this Song so much..The album is form 1977 I was 16 and it just resonated with me on such a core level, even though I was an east LA ghetto rat..I never heard anything so beautiful and it filled me then with wonder and even so more now..Gramercy and Goddess Bless us everyone..Walk In Beauty now and Always XOX PS I am Ferreting away "Yule Be back" from alanstarkie2001..Caws it is just too good to resist!

  • There was a video for this song where Ian states that the lads get to sing. Anyone? Oh well, great tune regardless.

  • Actually, it's from the album "Songs From The Wood", not "Woods" - they don't say 'the woods' in merry olde England as in America ;-) -

Anyway, great song; I found this post because it's been stuck in my head despite Spring quickly approaching and chose this of all the Solstice Bells posts for my Facebook page, thanks for sharing it! :)

    Happry Solstice everyone !

  • Same to you. Glad you're still "aboard".

  • Glad you're still with us. Blessed Imbolc.

  • The solstice is night.

Light and dark blessings to all.

  • Now you've heard it, yule be back!

  • It should read "Songs from the Wood"

  • I have often thought what this tune would sound like if sung by a full symphony choir with the members also doing the clapping - I am sure it would look and sound utterly fantastic!
