@daisymom4 If you've been paying attention to the news both Clinton and CNN (the originators of the source have both said the stats were incorrect). Clinton is now endorsing Jerry Brown. This attack ad has blown up in Meg Whitman's face. What's she going to do now? Start another negative attack. I have no respect for those who run on negativity.
The Los Angeles Times indicated in their article this morning that the CNN report was known to be inaccurate. However, that matters little unless Brown disseminates that information. The combination of Whitman's false ad, and Brown's gaffe regarding the Lewinski scandal could prove to be fatal to Brown's gubernatorial bid.
This gives me an idea. If I ever run for office, I'll just pull out a bunch of videos from my opponent's primary challenger. I'm sure that ought to work real well.
The problem with this ad is it is untrue and can be disproved and has been. Meg Whitman has been caught in another lie. She lacks integrity. Why would anyone vote for someone who has been running such a hateful and negative campaign. I guess she just doesn't have anything good to say about herself.

Actually anti-slavery started long before the revolution when the Quakers and Christians protested slavery as being non-biblical and inhumane. It was the founding fathers who initiated the first Act for the Gradual Abolition of Slavery in PENN 1780. The Spanish created the New Worlds dependency on slave labor. Most "slaves" in the North weren't slaves, but indentured servants and theres a huge difference, though still abusive and wrong.

I wouldn't be fining solely Repubs. I would be fining both Repubs and Dems for cornering the market and not allowing other parties to fairly compete. At least that is the way I see it.

Republicans are expected to have a total of 31 governorships, and 48 senate seats by the end of the election cycle.
Republicans lead over democrats by 10 points, the largest lead they have ever had since 1994.
Caution note: Democrats maybe in trouble, but the Republicans are not going to be let off easy like the Democrats have.

The context is that they were fighting for the Democratic nomination for President, and, obviously, Clinton's attack still rankles Brown 8 years later. As for the truth, raising taxes includes vetoing bills keeping tax exemptions in place, and Brown did just that.

The Los Angeles Times indicated in their article this morning that the CNN report was known to be inaccurate. However, that matters little unless Brown disseminates that information. The combination of Whitman's false ad, and Brown's gaffe regarding the Lewinski scandal could prove to be fatal to Brown's gubernatorial bid.

This ad has got to be one of the best I've ever seen. As for those of you who don't like Prop 13, consider that it protects the houses of us old people who could not afford to see our home taxes rise 5-10% a year without losing our homes. In addition, the property taxes clamped by Prop 13 were based on the worth of a house after Fannie and Freddie get done pumping up the price -- and we all know what Fannie and Freddie did to our economy...
