Here is a classic example showing the difference between the guitar styles of Ashton and Joshua.Ashton's style suits Thomas's music which is not mainly mbira based, "Chipo Ndechangu" etc. Joshua's guitar is has more trills, an extension of the mbira instrument itself. Its more suited to a song like this. He has no peer when it comes to this style. Pure genius. What a loss of both the guys. Intrestingly Gilbert's style seems to slot in between the two styles.
