  • Fantastic.....everything! Really a great video! Also, I 100% agree with your comment about turning the amp a bit so that it's not directly facing you! You= smart! : P

  • Great playing, great tone out of the Powerball.

    5 *

    Robin :o)

  • my settings are

    GAIN 5

    Bass 4

    Mid Open 8

    Treble 7 presence 0

  • What kind of guitar/pickups are you using?

    My settings look like this

    Gain - 2 o clock

    Bass - 1 o clock

    Mid (focused) - 12 o clock

    Treble - 11 o clock

    Presence - halfway between 11 and 12 o clock

    Depth punch - 10 o clock

And I leave the bottom boost off. I also find that if you turn your amp so it is not directly facing you it sounds a bit smoother coming off of the walls.

  • @RandyRhoads88 im using an ibanez xiphos with EMG kerry king pickups, i also have a metalzone pedal and i just dialed in your settings on the clean channel and lowerd the bass and the presence to 0 with the treble on the pedel higher, i can now get that grain on the bridge pickup but that nice smooth necrophagist sweep picking tone that i wanted. Thank you? Btw do you know the band necrophagist, if so, thats the tone im going for

  • The problem with Necrophagist's studio tone is that you cannot cut through for shit if you play with a band. For smoother leads just turn the bass up or the treble/presence down. The more muffled your tone gets, the smoother it will get. This amp works in mysterious ways.

    Necrophagist does rule though

  • thank u, i tried that and im still getting that terrible grain on all the notes even with no presence and a good amount of treble it still cuts thru, if you could send me all of your readings on the knobs that would really help me. By the way sorry that i didnt get back to you quickly.

  • how do i get a smoother lead sound that doesnt sound grainy on the high notes?

  • Don't overdo the gain, treble, or presence. Also try using the focused mids for leads.
