OK, I came out of high school in 1972, college in 1977 in Ohio. Visited D.C. in July 1991. Discovered WPGC 95.5 and Albee Dee. The "High Five Countdown" had this at #1. This song made get excited about music all over again. Went immediately to a Kemp Mill and brought this back home. Note: I heard a version on WPGC back then that started something like "Its alright. Dance 2 the music. Play if me you want and make like a BEAT! Samples. Wonder if that one is around still.
@mikeeiland1 When the 12"for Lock it came out in 1991, to most of us Go-Go heads, it was 3-4 years overdue. I had moved to Raleigh NC from the DC area after graduating from Morgan State in 1991, I move down there, and it was the number one song on K97.5 in Raleigh for about 3 weeks in the late summer/early fall. I couldnt believe it. They went wild on this down in Raleigh.
I was in high school when this came out...I swear my friends damn near wore out my tape because every time we got into my car, we'd play this song as loud as the radio could go!
I could never get enough of this shit here @ the age of 15 now 37 still the BEST!

I remember them recording at Chris Biondo's...all the heavies did: Chuck, EU and RE. They cut some of my favorite tracks. Great guys...great band.
