Hey maybe you should harvest this one. He is fully mature, and only has 3 points. This is a result of bad genes. I would personally take him for management. Also, don't forget that if you have a doe season, or tags, then take the bigger ones so that the smaller ones can come up and create a better herd. Nice looking body on this deer too btw.
I agree with your train of thought. However, I can guarantee you that this buck was 1 1/2 years old. Our deer have very big bodies up here in the north country. This buck still has time to grow. Good luck this season!
Oh, I see, it must have been the angle of the camera. It first appeared that the nose was very long and thin, but when I watched it a second time, I saw where it turned it's head at the end and can better guess the age. It does look a little younger this way.
