Arguably one of the first grown-up things I ever did was when I was 11, and about to leave my first school. My parents entered me into an entrance exam for a posh school. I was alone in a huge hall full of alarmingly competitive strangers, feeling rather lost and uncertain, hoping I could go home soon. Partway through the hardest part, this song popped into my head in total clarity, as if I could just barely hear it. Let me tell you, I sat the rest of that exam with a Very Serious Face.
I did the same thing with the Christmas Album and the song Mrs.Santa Claus. I'm 36 now and still want to perform it with someone (although it is a solo number) every Christmas.
This song just made me cry. It was my favorite song as a child, and I am so shocked that this was on here. So many memories for my older sister and I. Iove it!
Yesterday I just learned this song on piano and used it in a video contributed to a missing child in a nearby community. Her name's Victoria Stafford. Be sure to watch the video and get a close look because we're all praying for her safe return.
Wow!! I remember singing this with my older sister when we were little kids. We looked just like that LOL I can't believe someone else actually knows this song. She is so cute!! Thanks for posting it. I'm going to call up my sister and play it for her so I can hear her freak out. LOL
My words EXACTLY! My older sister and I used to dance around to this when I was this kid's age. We were exposed to a lot of great music as children. I don't know from laughter in the Cabbage Patch today, but you've made all of us smile here on Deer Trace! Indeed, a star is born!!
