I've been modeling most of my music around the sounds Kristian Matsson masterfully creates. What he does is amazing. I actually just made music video for a song with a similar theme.

verse: D, Bm, G, A

chorus: G, A, D

with a quick idk what it's called A chord (XX0220) between D and Bm, and a quick open A string walkdown between Bm and G.

also, kingofenglandrew is correct - played capo 1 the progression is pretty much the same as aeroplane - ironic with the mangum comparisons but not really considering every other song ever written uses it.

koejarlisch's would be right if his Bm's were D/F#'s.
