i beat him with not even half that health and hes right. a lot of health doesnt = pro. not being hit even once while fighting vergil is pro.

Equip Beowulf. Use Trickster Style. Buy health orbs and at least 3 Devil Star refills or more. Try to have six magic slots.

Strategy:

Jump at Vergil with the downward flying kick (Beowulf). Melee attack him and devil trigger, until he blocks. Immediately dash away. When Vergil devil triggers himself, use a refill star and devil trigger yourself. Attack him in the back while you both are devil triggered and he will transform back to regular Vergil. Repeat.

Its on the second floor you will se that something is shining but I forgot what it was I think it is some staff or something that you use as a lever or a crank.

i think that the best way to enjoy the final battle is doing all the game like the story, getting ur moves and everything in the story... and when u get to the level, use the swordmaster style... i prefer that style ^^

@Kairadragon I used the costumes code just for the last level, I wasn't going to continue on DMC3. In 2008 DMC3 was very popular and you could see a lot of videos teaching how to play the last battle. But this was my first time.

The powerups have nothing to do to my abilities, it's all about PATIENCE and not about SKILL. Compared to most of the videos in 2008 that you could see insane combos I was completely noob. If you guys think that a big health bar = PRO you probably is as noob as I was :)

Not bad for first time. Normal mode, right? He looks like normal mode Vergil. Don't worry about being noobish. You didn't miss the shots either. They went through him.

If you play Vergil enough, you'll find his strict attack ptterns are punishable to the extreme. Once you learn his pattern, you'll be able to dodge everything and wail on him. At that point, you sshould be able to kick his ass on very hard without a vital star. DMD is more complicated, though.

the 2nd bar of health is an extension of the first bar, you can increase it by collecting b;ue orb fragments to form blue orbs, or just buy blue orbs...you can increase the DT(devil trigger gauge) by buying purple orbs

Swordmaster style is the best, if you can manage of course. Combine Agni&Rudra with Nevan to knock down multiple enemies at the same time. Purchase all the upgrades for the two to ROCK.

I have a S rank on all missions in DMC4 and sometimes I still feel like a noob. It was easier getting S ranks in DMD mode than it was in Human. Fun stuff!!!
