While spending my school vacations @ my grandparents' farm, I saw such a beautiful & fragile birds. I love'em since. But my grandfather told to never touch the little ones because their parents will leave'em once they smell humans. I never did. Is that true ? What really happened to yours ?

He dropped from his nest. I found him walking on the track at the station.

Its a superstition that swallow can get the scent of human being. In fact, swallows have poor sense of smell. So if we find the chick dropped from the nest, we should return him back to the nest as soon as possible.

I didnt know these things when I protected my chick.

So I brought him up till he became able to return to nature, and released him into the swallows' flock.
