Wow, Voss won this tournament put on by Paula Carter and 18 years later won the Don and Paula Carter doubles tournament. That's pretty ironic! I guess that Carter name must give him some good luck.

I think Voss lived Florida at the time. That and the fact that he was always a fan favorite probably helped him along a bit.
