when i built this i can't get the program to work. it detects that the cube is there and says thank you but then doesn't continue to start scanning... whats wrong?!

@RSOURAV100 Unless You Are A Programmer, you have a problem. because it comes in code, not nxt code, just C code, so you have to compile it to robot C

My dad helped me figure out why the one I built wasnt working and I fixed heres why on the claw where the hangy peice is I used blue you HAVE TO USE YELLOW on the platform USE THE ORANGE BENDER like it says and that kind of stuff.

the color sensor gives RGB (red-green-blue) outputs, but that way is impossible too.

so the robot converts RGB output to HSL (hue-saturation-light)

and its possible to detect orange because ORANGE has more "hue" than RED

just like that, i read about it on the link in description :D

@dieterwuytens It doesn't need to. Let's say I have a Rubik's cube that has 5 colors you know, (yellow, red,green, blue,white), and one that is outside the visible spectrum...say, infrared. You would know that the side you cannot identify would be infrared by simple deduction because you know with certainty what the other 5 are, right?

i build it and i programed it right but.......... the color senor works perfect the only thing is when the arm comes to grap the cube for the first time it pushs the cube foward (like it should) but the arm doesnt set the cube it the holder in the right way

@Chud7000 I started having the same problem, and found out my batteries were too weak. It didn't have the kick it needed to perform the actions swiftly and cleanly. When I replaced the batteries with new ones, it did much better. Also, make sure you check that your arm pieces and the holder pieces are snapped in place, but not squeezed past their normal fittings.

My build of this model, no modifications, managed to solve a different brand cube with completely different colours first go. Colours are indigo, violet, blue, yellow, green and orange. Fantastic, and a relief after all that time building! I might build the Sudoku Solver next, purely because I love the font it writes in.

Tilted Twister 2 is brilliant. I built one this weekend with my NXT 2.0 set and it works like a dream. A big KUDOs to Hans Andersson for sharing the plans and the code with everybody instead of just keeping it to himself. I am reading through the code to learn how it works and learning quite a bit.

Just for fun I strapped a Lego construction worker to the tilter arm so it look like he's controlling it. Kinda cool :)

@404anhhao Building the fastest rubik's cube solver in the world was not the purpose of this creation. It was designed around using the limited amount of parts that come with the 8547 Lego Mindstorms 2.0 set so that anyone wishing to make it wouldn't have to spend more than 280 dollars.

As well as falling out, the nxt also doesn't completely turn the cube, so then the next time it goes to turn the cube, it gets stuck and fails.

for me, When it flips the cube, sometimes it flips the cube backwards and the cube falls to the table. If anybody knows what is wrong or how to modify it please respond!!!!

I build one too but most of the time it says'' can't resolve colours'' and wen it doesn't it solves it wrong or it throws the cube out or get stuck so it doesn't work real wel
