Razer Naga Hex - CES 2012

can you use this mouse on a game say like Tera? its an mmo but its only has 6 skills on the HUD. Also what does the Hex's shape and form feel like? is it close to the way the Naga epic? if so which grip on the naga epic?

Not sure if I wanna invest in this just yet. I play a large amount of competitive DotA, but even still, I really don't think I see the necessity of the hexagon layout, seeing as most players use their left keyboard hand to access their items anyway, it'd be kind of difficult to transition hands. I want a mouse with maybe at the most, 3-4 LARGE side buttons. That way I can place important keys on there, like my mic, Mekansm etc and have my left for reactionary items, like blink dagger, or sheep.

@ultraagony I'm considering it as well, as my only concern is that it JUST came out so I don't wanna dig right into it. the mouse I'm using right now, razer mamba, I have the push-to-talk for vent button bind on the lower button, and mount up on the upper one, with 4 extra buttons, I can manage to put all my big CDs on them, and then you'll prob never need to click on any of your skills again. don't forget you can use like Ctrl+mouse button4, as I have these as mark target with skull on the fly

got my Hex 2 weeks ago. kind of unimpressed with it. Synapse sucks, it can't even "sync settings" between a SINGLE computer, lot alone multiple computers via cloud... (unplug, and replug it in and all your setting reset back to factory) also the glossy plastic on top is annoying... they went for aesthetics instead of function. rubbery plastic or rough plastic would have been nicer. overall i think it's an overpriced product considering it doesn't have any of the extras some of their others have

i bought the razer naga epic brand new and it broke in less then 2 weeks, the lights no longer work, the wireless and laser sensor weren't working properly and yes, I had it updated to the latest drivers. This was all just from normal, careful usage, I never dropped the thing.

I've had the deathadder for almost a year now and it's a really good mouse

But now I am going to get this mouse it seems way better with the wired

I threw my naga away. Design on buttons, the fact that they go in my way and it cripples my movement (i had to move mouse with my 2 fingers only to avoid incidental cast) is just awful!

Maybe Hex will be an answer for my problems, but from what i have seen on this vid they kinda skipped that problem.

So far still the best gaming toy from Razor is n52te by far

I bet it's the same with the HEX after 2 weeks buttons will stop working and RZR just says "nononono thats not on our warranty-list - just buy another one" iam done with RZR...just paying for a green LOGO isn't quality!

@CanabiszzLover Yeah I play mostly MMO's and I use every single button on my naga, I will admit the button scheme is a little hard to get used to since they're so small but with a little practice it becomes very smooth and easy, I would pick the hex up for games that don't require like 20+ keybindings.

I love the hex style button layout, and the fact the buttons are bigger, but why does it have to have such a gay looking design with the green waves. I love their choice of green and the green lighting but honestly it doesn't need to look like it came out of a gi joe movie.

@iAMsoBEAST1 well if you like the razer naga design it is pretty much just like that but with different buttons. I did notice though that since the buttons are mechanical and VERY easy to press, I accidently hit some of the buttons a lot. but very comfortable.
