you should have reaper harrased his economy.. hes toss.. and reaper is a T1.5 unit. toss have to make T2 unit just to deal with you.. figure the costs out. even if you take out one Probe.. your still taking away potential gather for the lost probe, and the time it takes make another one. to slow on getting out the reapers.. you should have went in earlier

a terran can beat a toss, very easily, since its obviously unbalanced. IF the terran rush marine and maruader, against toss, its GG. There is no counter to this, MARAUDERS RAPE STALKERS, and ALSO RAPE ZEALOTS, being able to kite them. Please don't say, 'oh how about high templars, dark templars, or colossus, because it will be too late before you can even get those units. IF anyone knows a good counter please tell me, and tell me its a counter against diamond or platinum players.

well for Terran a strat that kinda works

when you build your barracks build two marines and build the tech lab

create some muraders about 3-4 with marines with them ( more that 2)

make your tech tree reach start port build 2 banchees

build a amory and make a thor

with that ive taken down quite alot of 1v1 maches

a engineering bay would be nice with a wep upgrade if you have time inbetween

@gunrunner13 not at all they really dont have a single overpowered unit. terran is good early on in the tech tree which is what gives its advantage. the problem with this terran player is that he had no anti air, if the protoss sent obervers and saw that, the prottos would have created void rays destroying the marauders.

@7m28 Forget about what you knew in SC1. SC2 is the rock-paper-scissors game more like Warcraft3. Toss has very strong ground units than Terran's. You should build up at leat 3 barracks and produce Marauder to counterattack Stalker. Marine against Immortal, Warp Ray.

I've even won a few games w/ them using dark templars+ warpgate with a prism near their base. Add in an army of zealots and a couple of stalkers and i win. Those zealots do a lot of damage. How do i counteract that as terran?

@7m28 9th scv build Supply, 11th for Barracks, 12th for Gas. ASA a Brrack is ready attach tech lab & producing Marauder while researching concussive shells. Zealots are almost useless against Marauder with concussive shells because Marauder can attack while moving and slow down Zealots. Zealots need Charge skill to kill Marauder.

@7m28 If you build 2 barracks, you should keep producing Maruader continuously while researching Concussive shell & Steam pack. Then build Ghost Acdemy to use EMP. If protoss keep focusing on their ground units, he will have a hard time to counteract against 2 dozens of Marauder+Ghost EMP. However, keep scouting Protoss, he might go with Warp rays. Marines will take care of Warp rays.

@7m28 Marauder's do lots of damage and are cheap. there great for the early game and good for later game if your opponent is going ground units. compliment that with siege capabilities and managing your power for your scans for cloaked units is important. the thing with Terran is there just and strong as the rest of them though they require alot more micro management and alot of people have trouble building units and micro managing there army. at the same time. that is crucial to winning

@7m28 I want to recommend you trying Banshee with clock ability. Build up 1 or 2 barracks and blocking the entrance with bunkers. Built Factory and 2 Starports. If you have clocked Banshee about 4~6 and they destroy toss buildings and stalkers pretty quick. You force protoss players to produce more Stalkers while you build up an expansion with 6+ barracks producing tons of Marauder - win!
