they go through the same exact training as regular Army and they help civilians in time of crisis for EX: Hurricane Katrina they were there. National Guard is also regularly deployed they have been fighting in ever major conflict the U.S. has been apart of since 1636

so in my mind they are actually better than most other soldiers

@kellark12 They helped in Hurricane Katrina? Yeah LOUISIANA NG did....every other state didn't do jack shit. They go through the same training? Yeah the same BASIC TRAINING. Which is a small portion of the training ARMY does. We train almost everyday. NG trains in basic training and will NOT do jack shit for the rest of their careers. Those mother fuckers dont do a FRACTION of the shit we did.....they're better? HAHA they're all fat guys. NG = The most embarrassing branch HANDS DOWN

yes that means that the NG did help in katrina you ass, not every single guy from every single state is over seas right now be they Marines, Navy, Army; reserves or guard or Air Force. Members of the NG can switch to active duty anytime they feel like it, and no they do not work only one weekend a month, sure some guys do but that's because they have a civilian job. as far as training goes they go to basic ,AIT and Airborne or Air Assault they do the exact same as any Army guy.

The active duty Army has a federal mission and the National Guard has both a federal mission and a state mission. The Guard can do everything the active duty does AND responds to emergencies or disasters in their own state when called. Approximately half of the troops fighting todays's battles are gaurd and reservist.. Gone are the days that Guardsmen are any less of a soldier than active duty soldiers.

@kellark12 The only respond to state missions if their state has one...such as border patrol in the south....which is a total of 4 states. The rest dont do shit. a federal mission, such as deployment only comes every 6-8 years for a guard unit....whereas active Army deploys every other year......these fat fucks are lazy ass wannabe soldiers. OBVIOUSLY you have never seen a Guard unit. They are BEYOND USELESS. Stop trying to compare a fake branch to a REAL branch.

@ArabsStank Michigan National Guard went to assist in Katrina along with many units from other states, they are not deployed every six years they are deployed regularly, 50% of soldiers overseas fighting right now are national guard, now even if they are only deployed ever six years like you said that would mean they deploy more units than any other branch, and as far as the NG being useless, if they were there would be no NG, if you think they are so terrible why are you watching their videos?

Ive heard of NG units getting their asses handed to them overseas because they had no clue what to do. Why do you think the NG is the ONLY branch that doesnt operate on their own overseas and has to be attached to Army units? Because their "leadership" has no idea how to command in a combat zone. Face it, you're a bunch of pussies who were afraid to make a fulltime commitment
